Lee's are the best but not all of his songs are great. There are some when he drives right off the cliff into a sea of pretentious lyrics.
And Daydream Nation never really worked as an album for me either. But some of the stuff on it is excellent. (But I think Trilogy is far too long, it's not one of their good, long songs. I like the middle) And Kissability is probably the song that just springs into my mind randomly the most often.

Smashing Pumpkins were all downhill after "Rhinoceros"...

Sonic Youth did not release one album that is good front to end. That said, NYC Ghosts and Washing Machine are best, the rest clocking in somewhere between fun and horrible. I still love them.
Raw Power is best. (Most people I know irl like the eponymous best, on here Fun House seems to take the cake.)
The first Refused album is the best.
I think The Greatest is the greatest when it comes to Cat Power and that Sonic Youth's Rather Ripped is solid all the way through.

Most of the opinions in here are pretty understandable. The Ocean is better than Isis, I would dislike a lot of The Beach Boys if it wasn't one of the only fond associations I have with my father, Deftones are the best shoegaze band, I would rather listen to Shot Forth Self Living than Loveless, and my partner did a med study recently and one of the people they were locked in the building with was a white boy who played Wonderwall constantly on his acoustic guitar, and fucking Wings? Srsly?

My own unpopular opinion is that Bad Moon Rising and Evol are my favorite SY albums, mostly bc they are the two I had on tape as a teen.

And as someone who spent a bunch of years playing in hardcore bands I can safely say hardcore is just boring rehashes of what metal did right.

Oh and Pink has so me of the best Boris tracks, but also some of the worst, and as a result I would rather listen to their live Merzbow collab Rock Dream if I want to hear those songs. Otherwise Akuma No Uta, Amplifier Worship, Flood, Feedbacker, and several others are better than Pink. I haven't listened to Absolutego or Heavy Rocks in a while but probably those, too.

I can actually fuck with that. I mean... The Ocean are at least more consistent

I mean I wouldn't ever disagree with people who'd say The Ocean or Cult of Luna are better than Isis. I still love Isis, they are SPECIAL, but they're hardly the "best" band in the genre

they're like the stupid friend whom you hate half of the time but still love to death :idk:

Whats the popular opinion on Boris' Smile? I like the japanese version 1838474849 times more than the American version, but my wife almost slapped me once for that, then again the american version was her first slice of Boris.

Smile is Boris's last good album.

Deftones self-titled has some fucking bangers on it, & I don't know if deserves all the hate it gets.
Then again, I wasn't a fan prior to it coming out, so I wasn't riding that White Pony hype.

I assumed this was common knowledge. Pink is the most accessible album so it acts as a gateway drug. Rainbow and Altar are my favourites and came out after Pink.

Is it common knowledge? I still always hear all about Pink. I haven't listened to anything post-Smile.

Isis may be better tto most people, but I can't do it. Panopticon was alright. Celestial has one of my least favorite album covers ever.

Deftones self titled is incrediblee, and I was totally on some White Pony hype.

Deftones are, paradoxically, both better and worse than you think they are at any given point in time.

I don't know how it works out.

Why is Pink so hyped? To me... "Farewell" is the only song that really stirs my loins... the rest is ClifNotes Heavy Rocks...?
