I'll probably get yelled at for this, but I do not understand why people like fuzz so much at all. I just think it makes everything sound like shit, unless I'm going for pure signal destruction at the end of a song or something . Overdrive is really awesome though, and I still haven't found anything that tops my Fuck yet, such a sweet pedal. Might get a Mini as well because god damn the Fuck is so good.

I like it because I play slow heavy shit a lot and sonic destruction/wall of sounds are useful in what I do. That said, 90% of the time I could get by with my fuck and/or OCD. With the crackle switch I don't even need a fuzz on my board really. Is the mini really that similar to the Fuck? Because if I could get the higher gain tone in a separate pedal that'd be fucking awesome.

From what I've read a ton, the Mini is more "bass-friendly" Fuck. Basically the same circuit without the envelope filter and more umph. I know Brian is making some high-gain Mini's right now so I might pick one of those up.

I think you may not have found the right fuzz for you yet

After trying many fuzzes, i've found that I don't like most of them, but the good ones are super sick. same with everything in life, quality over quantity. I've also found my enjoyment of fuzz pedals to be very reliant on my setup, the same fuzz has sounded terrible and great on two different setups.

I've been looking for a fuzz that suits me, and one I've really wanted to try is the SS/BS Year 4545. I've missed out on like 3 now and I wanna punch myself in the face. Maybe the next one...

I had a Year 4545, it was cool but the timbre isn't very flexible, I would skip it unless you're big into self oscillating fuzzes. it's really good at making horrible sounds

I'm actually looking for something that'll give me horrible sounds. Basically I want to hit the foot switch and clear out an entire building.

Between the Fuck Overdrive and the Skychord Truckloud, I can't think of another OD sounds I'd really need. I plan on getting a Mini and Improbability Drive as well for experimenting. Well, mostly experimenting with the Improbability Drive; I think the Mini will be another mainstay if it's anywhere near as good as I've heard.

I won't lie though, the SS/BS Buzzzz seems like a pretty interesting pedal, wish I could try one out before I buy.

The Buzzz is next pedal on my list, I've played almost every SSBS every made now haha. everything except the no momery and the buzzz. they've all been cool, but many not for me.

yeah dude try a superfuzz derivative. the only fuzzes i've straight up loved were the Boss FZ-2 and ss/bs BUZZZ.
i still need to try more circuits to have a somewhat valuable opinion on the matter but that circuit kills on guitar or bass. FZ-2 for chainsaw death and BUZZZ for versatility and ability to clean up.
everything else i've tried has just been too muddy or brittle in my setup.
