It probably wouldn't be TOO bottom heavy since it is VERY chambered out.

And now i remembered it would still be semi-hollow!
What are the pickups that would be in it like?

Well it could have my Rhythm Chief single coils which are featured in the other guitars.
Also it could have a new pickup I am working on which is the Super Chief and will be a humbucker version of the rhythm chief. (Kind of like a cross between a filtertron and a gold foil dearmond)

Ooo new pickup? That's awesome, was curious if you were ever gonna try different pickups in your guitars.

For those that don't follow the Nelson facebook page I have an announcement. Due to lack of interest I am going to be finishing up the last 5 12-string electrics as 6-string electrics. They will have the longer headstock, a fender style bridge, white pickguards, and 1 3/4" nut widths.
I'm really motivated to get these out the door so if you want a cool, oddball, Nelson that will be 1 of 5 made the let me know and we can talk details!

Permit me to ask a silly question:
Does the general population here at ILF really care or pay attention to these Nelson-y updates?
Don't get me wrong I don't expect a parade everytime I post something but it has been feeling like there are only a handful of people that pay attention.
I enjoy ILF very much and am mucho thankful to have this venue to post about what's going on in the workshop....but at the same time if nobody really cares or pays attention then what's the point right?
Not complaining here! Just curious to know if the honeymoon is over. ;-)

I check in from time to time! I think your work is great, if I had the money to buy a guitar from you I would! They're beauties and its nice to see them in progress

I pay attention, anything building related I like to see. as for buying a Nelson, I think they are really cool, but when you stated no desire to incorporate a trem on a 12, I went and built one myself. I'm very particular about what I want and your designs are really cool, but don't quite hit the mark for me. I'm sad to see the lack of interest in the 12's you had coming together. 24 frets, and a trem with comfort carves ala fender is what I needed though. ended up making this-

I love the updates, incredibly excited for my guitar. I wouldn't have known about your stuff if it wasn't for ILF!
I don't think you could ever turn anyone off by having a lot of updates. I mean if someone didn't care they could just stop reading! I find your enthusiasm appealing and I wish more people who made guitars and pedals had it. There's a lot of mystery around a lot of gear makers, but I kinda like being able to put a personality and a face to a name.

Hey great job on the XII string! Yeah it is a bummer that the XIIs seemed to have sorta flopped. I think it is just a SUPER small market and people either want a ric or a $300 dano. Oh well! I'm going to finish them off as oddball 6-strigers and blow them out ;-)

yeah there is ONE company that makes anything close to what I want, and those are Korean or chinese made. Oh well I had fun building it. Best of luck on selling them!

Curious to see those 12 string 6 string conversion guys. Really excited to see the headstocks on them. Would be cool if you did one where it was just one side of the headstock like a fender and then the other side was plugged. Wonder how that would look!
