OK, so, now I'm gaining a better understanding of what you guys are seeing in this. Thank you. I didn't really get it before. I thought you guys were just following the Klon feeding frenzy and it didn't quite make sense. This pedal is starting to become more interesting to me even though I don't like overdrives. I do like boosts however.

Is the Klonopin going to be modded to have a better bass response than the real Klon? How is it going to be EQed? Will there be a mid-range hump? What is that fourth knob gonna do?

I believe the idea is to just make a straight-up Klon clone with a Lo-Fi switch.

I can't answer any of those specific circuit questions--maybe someone (aka ss/BS brain) might be more equipped to do so.


Nor can I ever suggest that I speak for the rest of the peeps posting in this thread, but here's what I've intuited from the process:

From what I've gathered in this thread, the fourth knob is going to be a blend(?) of the "ILF" button, which is the new/fun/cheeky/irritating function that we're adding to the circuit--which would otherwise be a straight KLON c'one.

To be perfectly honestly, if this pedal doesn't turn out to be what drives mortal men to procreate, I can always regift it to my parents. That's my out on this venture. The KLONopin has captured my interest even though I'm fully aware of what it is and have (relatively) realistic expectations of what it will do.

I am in for this. I wasn't to enthused at the beginning, but yeah. ILF pedal for the victory tones.

1590A is entirely way too fucking small.

I dgaf about box largeness since I'm probably just gonna throw that shit on the floor. I'm down for the big box. But I can see why a lot of peeps would want to keep it relatively compact.

Pretty sure this is the size difference between the 1790, and the 1590BB yea? About an inch or so...
