take off those rubber things on the bottom and put velcro on it. it worked for me

Yep, my RAT is a lovely small box '85 or '86, and it has huge rubber feet. I took the screws out and then the rubber feet, but the damn screws wouldn't go in all the way... I guess they were longer to keep the feet on, or are just too old. So I got some short ones from the hardware store for like FIDDY-CEN and screwed those bitches in. BUT THEEEEEEEN there's the little silver screw that sticks out of the battery holder. So I unscrewed that and taped/velcro'd up the holder... but as you can see the RAT moved over one to the left, so I bet I can put the battery screw back in because of the way it will fall within the tracks of the board.

Thanks a lot. I've got a small box RAT (from the mid-90's, I think), and I had the exact same problem with the bottom screws. Also, the the guy at the local hardware store told me they didn't carry any sort of similar screws. I guess I'll just try home depot.

Luckily, I also use a pedaltrain board, so hopefully that silver screw won't be a problem. Thanks again!

That's a WHACKASS hardware store, G. I went to ACE and they have a whole big huge giant long aisle of just boxes and boxes of clearly labeled Screws 'n Sich. I just brought the RAT in with me with one of the screws unscrewed and compared and contrasturbated. There were screws that were the same, uh, thread (?) size that were longer or shorter, so I chose the short ones.

Works like a swarm!
