Up in the boonies. That's rad, dude, I love it up there--mostly beyond the tendrils of civilization.

Yeah man, my friends and I went to Higher Ground for heavy shows all the time. And sitting in Manhattan Pizza on a Saturday night and the bartender puts on Bongzilla or Baroness while a local metal band sets up. Good times.

Marlon!!!!! Great to see you buddy!!! It almost feels like home up in here.....

In other news, had a show last night and got home like 4 hours before work this morning. Kinda sucked attendance wise (it was on a sunday night and the promoter didn't promote  ) but my band mates were really helpful with loading gear so I didn't throw out my back, and the jams were awesome so it was a good night.

Also got my new 15's in the bass cab (found out one had a blown voice coil and the other was on its way out), everyone including the sound guy was floored. He likes my setup so much he now sets me up with DI and a mic without me asking. :joy: :omg: :!!!:

I kinda want an OCD clone with an etched box. I hate the enclosure on it because it's not cvlt enough.

What are the signs of a blown voice coil? I've got the issue with the Silver Bell in my Emperor cab acting weird and I have one of those old ass Peavy cabs with an 18 in it that won't pass sound unless I press my finger on the very outside edge of the speaker. I guess pushing the speaker in just a hair makes a connection with something to make it work. I tried the battery trick on it and the speaker moves, but I dunno why the sound goes in and out like that.

Well mine was completely lacking in low end, and when i turned up the volume to gigging level or cranked the bass to where i had it with my 2x12 it was making a farting / flapping paper / a horribly vibrating kind sound. I pulled it out yesterday and pressed on the cone and could hear it touching something as there was some resistance and rub, and then i could hear the voicecoil acting like a bellows and that's never good. Turns out it was majorly detached from where it was supposed to be mounted. Luckily the other CB15 I pulled out seemed to be in decent shape, so now I have a backup. I put in some Eminence Delta-15LFC's and couldn't be happier, they put out so much low end solidly and project like a mofo with a present and clear midrange.

As far as the Silver Bell, what kind of sound is it making? With the 18 it sounds like you have a loose lead where it connects to the voicecoil which could be solved with a lil bit of solder and a few minutes of time.

Played some Galaxicon on my radio show last night. Some Drop Electric too. And I've been mining this thread for videos to play on the air as well. So, thanks!
