My guess is he is trying to get them ALL done so they can all be shipped at the same time while juggling life, building other pedals, actually playing music and whatnot. I least I know that in the end they will be built very well [unlike other pedals that had a super long wait...] and sound great. Any time I order something that is not a standard issue I expect a wait, when I don't I call it a nice surprise.

edit: and I can never again take Death By Audio seriously after finding out that their feedback looper is $150
The sketchy reputation regarding build quality already turned me off, but come on...that's approaching Cornish levels.
At least DBA pedals look cool.

Love the Beatles, but IMO(warning:controversy ahead) John did go to shit for the most part in his post-Beatles career.
Paul actually progressed and moved music forward, George was just awesome in all regards, and Ringo...was Ringo. How can you hate that lovable mug?
