I've gotten really chintzy about games, lately. I really want to play Sleeping Dogs, XCOM and others, but I just can't bring myself to buy them. :/

Yea I literally rage when a character dies, especially from some random crit 2-3 turns before completion.

I decided it was time to take a break when I realized I had put tooth marks in the game boy.

This reminds me of Final Fantasy Tactics
It's down to you and one enemy, the rest of your party is KO'd and in one more turn you're gonna start losing people permanently.
You have a 99% chance to hit the enemy. MISS
Or the enemy has like a 5% chance to hit you with a one-hit-kill move. Of course it almost always lands. Holy fuck that game was frustrating at times.
You could even get stuck in one of the boss battles and if you weren't leveled enough or equipped with the right moves, you had to restart everything. Unless you're one of those freaks who uses more than one save file.

Also, the ZOE HD remakes for PS3 run at a lower framerate than the original PS2 games. Way to go, guys
Nobody gives a fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck anymore. Has there EVER been a good port of a game? Maybe GRID for PC?

I discovered that we have a DS in the house that's been unused for like 2 years, I think my Mum bought it for some lame game back then. And they don't play games at all.

Yeah, kinda bummed about GW2 as well.
Like...I love what they were going for with the combat system. I REALLY like that it's not just you sitting there and clicking two buttons until the enemy is dead. But...as someone who always plays the healer or support class, I feel less useful overall, especially in dungeons and stuff.
Engineer is still one of the best classes ever.
The game has a lot going for it, but it's just not grabbing me. I lost interest quickly when I saw that the quests are essentially the same in all the areas. There's a time in all MMOs, it might be early on or later, and it's not a new thing, it happens every time and it's just part of the system...but after you reach max level, there's like...nothing to do. Unless you wanna grind dungeons to get better gear to do more dungeons. And that instantly kills my drive to play the game. It hit very early in GW2 for me.
When it hits...that's it. MMOs on their own don't have gameplay fun enough for me to keep playing purely to enjoy the game. It's always about the progression. MMOs aren't that difficult and I think PVP is tedious, so...blehhh.
Plus my friends fucking poopsocked it all the way to max level while I was trying to take it slow and enjoy exploring. Then they didn't wanna play anymore.
I want an MMO where there are no levels, only skill points. You gotta set up your class with those points and roll with it. Nobody would play that these days, though, unless they added achievements for starting the game, venturing outside the main area, opening your inventory, killing a monster, drawing a breath, etc.

I do hate how Anti farming Anet is, yes there's botting problems but I just love Speed Clearing areas with other players. It's the very same thing that they try to promote. Except it's giving the game mechanics the middle finger.


What GW2 really needs is to merge servers together it gets so desolate in many areas and good luck doing most of the Event Bosses solo.

Sleeping dogs: good story. Meh gameplay.
XCOM: BRILLIANT IN EVERY WAY. Seriously. I don't do tactical much, but holy shit, XCOM was a blast. Is a blast.

Do what I do: play League of Legends. It's free, except that you will want to spend all your money on skins. I'm $40 in to a free game and there's at least $200 that I want to spend.

Hahaha yeah. FFVI is amazing, but I tried to play FFIII once and just kinda... couldn't. Might do for completeness some day but it was not great from what I played.

i know chrono cross is on PSN. i might play that through again after Persona 3. but Persona 4 Golden comes out in 3 weeks so I can't wait for that.

Call me a sick fuck, but I was sincerely hoping that Rockstar would put pedestrians and their goddamned phones in GTAV. They have answered me with a huge promo poster.
