I just found out yesterday that my Mini sounds great, with bass, DI'd into my PA. WTF? Is the pedal just that awesome? Or, did it work well because it's a JFET?

Damn, anyone had one of these? The space tank one was in the stoner rock category on reverb and I like the enclosures

Not sure why, but I've used mine as a bass pre amp as well. Wont be super clean but definitely sound nice. Love that pedal.

I guess that Rowin Twin Looper is a clone of the Donner Deluxe Looper


Rowin's is still cheaper, and either are probably as reliable as the spring switches in a Ditto X2, sooooooooo

Damn, that looper actually looks pretty awesome imo.

This feels like a pretty whatever thing for gear to say, but my mandolin made me like the fuzz factory.

Which one? I think it was the G-2 that was degooped and traced years back, the Gilmour Muff-based thing. FSB was all over that. I gather there might be a couple more that have been traced or guessed at since.

how is the warble on the mod factors's vibrato? can you get juicy melted tape sounds out of it? I'm only hearing a phaser kind of sound, similar to the doppelganger's, when checking out the demos

Fuck. Now I'm in my own USB MIDI hell. Bugged the Source Audio reps over at the bloozlawyerpage about the Soleman, which looks like a really clever and powerful MIDI pedal. But it won't do MIDI host for my Livid Guitar Wing, and though it'll respond to MIDI from my iPad if I use it as a host, it won't pass through the iPad's MIDI messages. I'm pretty sure that goes for the DIN input as well.

So I had thought it would have been awesome to have plugged the iPad hosting the Guitar Wing over Bluetooth and running midiLFOs and maybe some other MIDI control fun through the Soleman to my old rack stuff and some pedals. I think I could kludge an equivalent with a DIN merge if I were running a DIN out of the iPad, but that shoots the simplicity out of the water. Maybe just do a USB MIDI pedalboard like the KMI Softstep, merge USB MIDI in the iPad, and out to a DIN interface/splitter? Anyone grappled with this kind of thing?
