So far I've only played XCOM and Dishonored (both really fun). Plan on getting Assassin's Creed III, Red Dead Redemption, and Mass Effect 3 (even though everybody says the ending sucks but whatever). Also interested in Borderlands 2 but I'd just be playing the single player campaign mode. Any other games I should check out? Might also get Halo 4...
The ending for Mass Effect 3 was fine. If you haven't played the second one you should grab that as well. Was more fun than the third one.

Yeah, you've basically got a half hour fetch quest. It gets good, though (if you like 3d Zelda anyway).
A guy I met once told me that modern Zelda games felt very vacant and lonely. It almost feels like Nintendo somehow overheard this conversation and overcompensated in a huge and ridiculous way. I'm glad to hear it gets better, though.

I'm an unabashed Zelda fanboy. Do I understand that they should probably make the talking a little quicker, especially at the beginning? Yes. Did I enjoy the copious amounts of talking, fuck yes. I ate up every line of story in that game. It contains so much back-story and lore for the LoZ series, and I reveled in it.
Haven't touched Dishonoured in about 2 weeks, I like the game a lot but I just don't play it. I've also completely given up on GW2.
Was so pumped for GW2 but after the months honeymoon there's nothing fun about it I only really got About 175h which compared to my 3k of GW1 it's a major letdown with nothing fun to actually do anymore.

Also, the puzzling in that game is Top-Notch.
I suppose, but I only look at story lines in games as a vehicle for the game. The thing that bothered me the most was that in previous games you could scroll through dialog much faster, so if you're a fast reader you don't get bored and if you don't care you can get through it faster. But the puzzles are much harder than I expected for how base their explanations were for everything, and that's awesome.
Yeah, kinda bummed about GW2 as well. Like...I love what they were going for with the combat system. I REALLY like that it's not just you sitting there and clicking two buttons until the enemy is dead. But...as someone who always plays the healer or support class, I feel less useful overall, especially in dungeons and stuff. Engineer is still one of the best classes ever. The game has a lot going for it, but it's just not grabbing me. I lost interest quickly when I saw that the quests are essentially the same in all the areas. There's a time in all MMOs, it might be early on or later, and it's not a new thing, it happens every time and it's just part of the system...but after you reach max level, there's like...nothing to do. Unless you wanna grind dungeons to get better gear to do more dungeons. And that instantly kills my drive to play the game. It hit very early in GW2 for me. When it hits...that's it. MMOs on their own don't have gameplay fun enough for me to keep playing purely to enjoy the game. It's always about the progression. MMOs aren't that difficult and I think PVP is tedious, so...blehhh. Plus my friends fucking poopsocked it all the way to max level while I was trying to take it slow and enjoy exploring. Then they didn't wanna play anymore. I want an MMO where there are no levels, only skill points. You gotta set up your class with those points and roll with it. Nobody would play that these days, though, unless they added achievements for starting the game, venturing outside the main area, opening your inventory, killing a monster, drawing a breath, etc.

I just like reading books and books of content in games. I'm odd.
Playing Fire Emblem 6 translated rom on my ipod touch gba emulator. Game is so much harder than the US releases. Also some occcassional Leaf Green. I got some translated eartbound roms, (namely Mother 3) as well that I am looking forward too.
Also the gf let me borrow Sleeping Dogs, I love asian street fighting and car hopping.

Played through both the Americanized GBA Fire Emblems this summer. I don't know whether or not I have fun when I play them, though, because I am terribly indecisive and can not accept any loss of characters.
I really want to try some earthbound out. I've heard so much about it, but never even seen it played.
I bought Metro 2033 a little before Horizon came out. I played through a few objectives and love it. It's a great and challenging game and the level/dialogue/character interactions are awesome. It feels like walking through a novel.

That's what I loved about Wind Waker. Sometimes I love that lonely vibe in games like in Fez or Wind Waker... Ico would be another good example... even Paper Mario and Thousand Year Door at times had that vibe. If the level design is beautiful and worth exploring then I'm sucked in. Very doomy in an innocent way.
