That was a good moment in a good game.

I will admit that the first time I played FEAR, I couldn't finish the game, I was too wussed out. Replaying it now though is just a bunch of laughs and slow-motion. My new "oh fuck that" game is Amnesia: The Dark Descent. No way I could have gone through that had I not been playing with 3 other people (via voice chat) simultaneously. So one person would be like "oh fuck!" and the rest would just get really quiet, not moving anywhere in their own games, just waiting for someone else to go up the stairs or whatever and find out what the first person saw. It was really fun.

That scene when you first arrive in the office and a body flies through the window to your side was fucking hilarious from the get-go though. Made me crack up and killed the atmosphere.

So ... yeah ... Talkbass really sucks lately, doesn't it?

AchTanEr - phew. that part gave me bowel issues. but i WAS playing butt ass late with headphones on a PC. by the time it made it to Xbox the graphics looked shite since they just ported a year or two old game.

a friend of my wife and i's stayed at our place for a couple weeks. really cool, really funny Japanese grrL. she was looking through my dvd collection one of the first nights she was at our place and said, "Oh! Ju-on! (Grudge in America) Mitte! (watch this)", dropped on the ground, almost rotated her head, and did the Hair Over Her Face Spider Crawl at me.

damn near kicked her in the face. instead backed up and squeaked, "fuck are you DOING??!? you're gonna be living on my couch for a a week! FUCK ARE YOU DOING??!?".

good times. good times.

also, are Stingray's good? only Musicman i have is one of the cheaper ones... the SUB? it's a 5'er.... had a project that fell through i thought i'd need it for. don't dig it at ALL. too lazy to ship a bass though. so not listing it.

not trashing 'em, never played any of theirs but the SUB.

They are really well made, my guitarist has a really neat custom Silhouette from like 88. I like the SR5 a lot and would love a fretless one, hate the bongo [I'm talking about the sound and the neck... and it is fugly] have yet to play a big Al.

Stingrays are my FAVORITE. I had a 2001 a while ago (biggest regret ever is selling that), and it was a DREAM

Never played any Ernie Ball. Wayy out of my price range. They look cool though. How the hell do you guys get these 1500 dollar basses?

Actually, my previous comment came over way whinier than I meant it to be. I generally try to ignore discussions on any basses, guitars or amps that cost more than 500 dollars for the sake of my own sanity. I made the mistake of going to a Talkbass get together once. Oy vey. There were probably 75 basses there, and I don't think a single one was worth less than 2 grand. Must be either a whole lot of stock-brokers or regular joes living on fucking ramen and tang.

i think she felt bad she spooked me out and made me sleep cuddling my shotgun the entire time she was at my place. when i was helping her pack up after a couple weeks when she was headed back Nihon she ACCIDENTALLY flashed a boob at me. very nice. MUCH less skeery.

i'm just in a silly spot where i don't have a lot of expenses and my wiff is out country a lot. so i get a decent amount of expendable income. but i had to find a place that would let me put a 1/4 down and then do payments ofver the 4 moth build time for my Dinger. i dunno HOW cat's that have 19 Dingwalls and 34 Laklands and a couple Ritters laying around do it.

oh yah, Achtangles - i don't play Japanese horror games. the first time my grrL left to Japan for 6 months i picked up Fatal Frame II, got to the part where Mayu dies, and got just bummed and freaked out 'cause my grrLs name is Mayu. there's just always some connection to somebody i know out there, no matter how tenuous, that makes them too personal.

lulz. that, and it's hard to watch The Signal. awesome movie. the different directors for each of the three acts? BRILLIANT. but the main guy and grrL are Ben and May. i'm a Ben and it came out right when i found out how much time my layday would be spending away.... so.... yeah.
