Has anyone put a high pass filter between their head and cab or in the effects loop to get more efficient wattage out of your amp? I'm wondering if cutting the super deep lows on one side of my rig will help with playing bass vi through a guitar amp.

I mean, it looks OK, but why would anybody make a travel guitar out of acrylic?

Went to shop today. Noodled around on this Gretch Electromatic XII. XII are fun. I'm convinced. I really should get one.
But that Gretsch was pricey, felt like plastic and the sound was not to my taste.

Have you looked at the Italia Rimini? If you search long enough, you might be able to find a used one for €350-450. I've seen a lot of positive reviews for these, and they sound quite good in demos.Disarm D'arcy wrote:Went to shop today. Noodled around on this Gretch Electromatic XII. XII are fun. I'm convinced. Where do I get a super tiny ass Allen wrench? I've had a few knobs fall off with those tiny screws to keep them in place. I've used my paring knife when they were strait screws, but I don't know how to fake an Allen wrench? Do I just go to the hardware store?

You go to Walmart, right? I'm surprised you don't have full sets, metric and imperial. Most everything comes with them, these days...

My bandmate uses an old Danelectro XII bc he got it used at an absurdly good price (and there's something funny to me about a band of two transfeminine people and a gay man using Danelectro), but before he got that, he was looking pretty hard at an Eastwood. I forget which one. There are a few nice choices.echorec wrote:Have you looked at the Italia Rimini? If you search long enough, you might be able to find a used one for €350-450. Some dude was moving and posted it on the local Facebook group. It came disassembled if that makes the price any less ridiculous.

My friend broke a string on his Epiphone SG... he kept playing. Later, when he took his guitar out of the bag, the saddle was gone. Does he need to buy a whole new bridge? Nobody sells an individual replacement saddle?
