Despite being broke as a joke and culling my shit for surgery I am starting to succumb to the idea of PMing that particular user so I can finally have a monochrome ABlaster to round out my dream of a monochrome board.
Which means I'd have to sell my current one (#9).
I am sad.

Yeah, I was thinking about grabbing that Ape Blaster too. That price is nice.

Do I need two Ape Blasters?

No, but it might be pretty cray to try stacking 'em. (My guitar starts feeding back if I turn up the volume too much with only one. :whoa: )

I don't know how much longer I can resist a Ct5. I've wanted one forever but keep waiting for one to pop up in the b/t/s instead of just ordering and waiting a few weeks. I would have had it months ago if I did. Idiot.

My gas is in a good place right now. I've got the basic sounds I need, and have gotten rid of a lot of superfluous pedals these past few months. Have more or less got a good focus of what sounds fits with what I play instead of wanting everything that sounds cool.

So, the Possessed is still high on my list. I love the Raptio ever so much, and having both... just the thought makes me all warm inside.
I need another delay, been looking at the Disaster Transport and El Cap. Might sort itself out pretty soon.
And I'll need a smaller amp sooner or later. Waiting for a Jazz Chorus 50 to emerge.
After that, I think I might just focus on getting a hold of an LAL 87. And more Fuzzhugger stuff, because the gas must go on.

I'm getting an El Cap on temp trade next week. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna end up getting one of my own. My only disappointment is that you can't have it in trails mode with a favorite switch plugged up. Kind of a weird limitation. :idk:

Yes, after goroth's "stacking delays"-thread my El Cap GAS started acting up again.

Yeah, the El Cap seems really cool. I've had a bias towards Strymon because it seemed complex and a little snobby. But watching El Cap demos, I realized how cool their stuff is. The El Cap seems to only have functions I need and not much more. Well, I don't use tap tempo, though. Should've been an momentary infinite repeats/oscillation footswitch instead, IMO.

Hold it down and it functions as that too

El cap is literally the only strymon pedal I actually like, their stuff usually just tends to sound like a Periphery record to me.

I love my El Cap so much. The only constant delay that I've had

Ive been loving the stereo spread on the el cap lately. It doesnt ping pong the repeats but it widens the stereo image in some way.

I also like how dirty it can get when its overbiased but it gets so quiet which is dumb.

Can you boost it?

Also, has anyone used a favorites switch with the el cap?

I'm wondering if I save a preset, unplug the fav switch, and set it to trails mode, will it remember the preset when I plug it back in?

there's a secondary function for +/- 3db boost/cut
i used to use a favourite switch, it remembers the preset until you save another one. i always had mine in trails mode.
deadset it is the only delay i've ever owned where i did not think it was lacking a single thing as far as features go, i sold it to get a timeline for all the different delay modes but as far as a tape delay sim machine the El Cap is basically the perfect feature set.
