I'm having second thoughts about Dishonored...The guy at Gamestop today told me it's actually gonna be pretty linear.It follows a linear story, and in each level, you have a sort of open world quality. But once you complete that level, you move to a new one. I was hoping for Skyrim meets Assassin's Creed. Doesn't look that way

That sounds just like Deus Ex, which I fucking love and some people on the dev team are from Deus Ex. In that, choices did have consequences later and the levels were so awesome and open world that it's impossible to give a shit that the story is linear, so it could still be great.

And with Deus Ex, not only were the levels great, but you were more compelled to advance the story than be all "oh I missed this soda can in the back corner, I have to go back to this location."

I don't really care if it's linear especially if there's 2-3 different ways of doing each mission. Games that do have a massive location usually don't have a direct storyline and are filled with mostly sidequests, which isn't really a problem. I'll still raid Bandit Camps on my Assassin in Skyrim.

Game is soooooooo purty. And you're not completely useless at level 1 unlike in the original game. PLUS you can actually kill people with infantry weapons now! And headshots count!
