It's been a while since I've GASed for a pedal. I must be sick or something.

Nah, its the slow season. NAMM is right around then corner, and I'm sure some of the ILF all star builders have stuff up their sleeves.
Or maybe, just maybe, you're happy with your setup.

DON'T START UPSETTING ME.
Seriously though, the matter will more likely be resolved when old blood noise reveal their new pedal. I'd love a Haunt but I'm having a hard time justifying a ninth fuzz pedal...

So I'm thinking about splitting to two pedalboards with the imminent arrival of my bass vi.
One for lo-fi gazey indie rock and then a synthy/noise rock board.
But then when I think about it, I really want to play lo fi gazey synthy indie noise rock. So maybe just one board.

my Machinedrum hasn't even arrived yet and i'm already thinking of selling a bunch of stuff to finance an Octatrack.
the idea of live-sampling guitar parts then sequencing/timestretching them seems like it would be a cool way to perform.

The Reverends I've played are a little too stiff for me (... and not "stiff" in the jwar sense of the word), but maybe that's because they were brand new.

Hold on to your horses. Learn the MD first. The Octatrack is dense, it is very challenging to learn. It's manual seems like it is speaking another language (to trig the triggerless trig,etc.).
If I had unlimited time for music, I would still own an Octatrack but I would rather make some music instead of cussing, throwing the manual and going to elektronauts to try and figure out how to do something that seems like it should be simple. The Octatrack is super powerful but not very user friendly IME.
