Ahoy-hoy!! :excellent:

My name is Forrest, and I'm a fuzz and dirt box junkie. Most of my pedals are ones that I built, but I do own a few commercial boxes.

I'm also a moderator at FreeStompBoxes. :poke:

I really appreciate the open and transparent spirit here at this forum, and I've got loads of respect for Devi (for a number of reasons).

Here's a fun fuzz I just finished up this afternoon (it's got a clear back lid to show off all teh mojo!!) :

One of the guys at the BYOC forum makes them occasionally. I sweet-talked him into trading me one for some PCB I made for him. :thumb:

Feel free to pick my brain all you wish. I'm no expert, but I've built quite a few pedals and experimented (on the breadboard) with many more than I've actually built.

Thanks for the welcome.

bonne nuit, ILF.

my name is bobby

i used to be a moderator at this other place.

i came here because i was invited by newarkwilder, so blame HIM if i get out of hand

i'm a virgo, i like walks on the beach, slow wet kisses, and dining out.

my first fuzz was a Sekova chrome wedge fuzz from 1974, and it came with a Teisco guitar and amp (that i traded the MARTIN D-18 my parents had bought for me for my birthday, against my wishes for an electric guitar. they never bought me even a guitar string after that episode. as you can see, FUZZ has ruined my life from an early age)

i am liberal and conservative, depending upon the issue. spent many years as sort of a buddhist, but also hunt and fish and eat the things that i catch or shoot.

still working as a professional guitarist, and still just as excited about plugging into a fuzz pedal as i was in 1974.

i am grateful that i have sort of gotten to meet many of you on various fora, especially Devi and Tom and Ryan and Newark :thumb:

this is my fave fuzz these days, along with my BJF snow white:

I'm hellokippo.....HI. :hello:

I'm an English teacher from New York. I'll be turning 24 shortly and have been with my boyfriend morningstaru for 7.5 years. I'm a poet planning on getting my poetry published one day and a lover of art. And by art I mean anything that expresses emotion in a meaningful way, be it movies, books, paintings, music, and recently brought to my attention, fuzz pedals. A lot of the pedals feel like pieces of art to me, physically and through sound.

I'm also on a mission to change the world (naive as that may sound, I actually believe it). I became a teacher to open the eyes of my students to the current state of humanity, what it means to be human and how we should treat one another. I love my job despite its challenges, like being called a "moist ass buster" by a 12 year old.

I like talking to people and sharing different opinions and views.
I love cats.
I love hello kitty.
I love Taco Bell.
I love Coheed and Cambria.
I love Jack White.
I love Johnny Depp.
I love To Kill a Mockingbird.
I love beer.
I love Alaskan cruises.
I love narwhals and beluga whales.

Currently this is what's on my mind. :animal:

morningstaru, ultimate win.

if you add fuzz, cardigans, audrey hepburn, comics and the fact that i'm a gear whore, than in fact you have what makes up me.

Nice to meet you hellokippo!

You have some pretty excellent views on teaching. I've had teachers who think along the same lines, and it really did help me out at school. :thumb:

"moist ass buster"? :picard:  I have a 12 year old brother and I could never imagine him saying something like that to his teacher, but who knows? kids have different personalities at school sometimes...

might I ask how you came to be called that?

It is quite perplexing to me as well. The student that said this to me just says it when he's angry at me because
either I told him to do his work or I kicked him out of the room because he was singing songs with profanity or sexual references.

I've learned a whole new vocabulary this past year of teaching. I've been told to "shut my dirt," and that I'm "beastin."
It is ridiculous, but hey, 12 year old kids going through puberty are out of the minds.
