I'm just going to throw it out there that Satyricon, regardless of what you think of their post Nemesis output, are fucking unimpeachable live. Such a great band. Lots of rocknroll, lots of fun, lots of hatred.

And staunch in the heat, which is a big ask for anyone coming down here to do our summer in the middle of Scando winter.

I like most of their early stuff, just using them as a stand in for a band that was 'around' but not associated directly with the church burning/stabbing. Could have just as easily said Immortal or Gorgoroth or w/e.

Dark Medieval Times is an excellent record.

Arcturus is another TNBM band that gets forgotten about in every discussion.

Despite the corny ass marilyn manson video, if you can't get down with this song you just don't have the rhythm. Also i like that the lyrics are like a collection of black metal cliches that they all just shouted out at random and wrote down one day when they couldn't think anything up.
