Hard to believe he was so slim back then. If you watch him now...he can still move (in the context of a fiction action film) but he's just SO MUCH BIGGER. It's like watching a door beat somebody up.

He's a huge dude. I met him when I worked at Gibson in Memphis. I'm 6'3" and he was considerably taller than me.

My favorite is still Out For Justice. I mean Wu-tang even represents that movie on 36 chambers ..

Mandatory supercut of Seagal running...

I don't care for the "like a girl" thing, but he runs like a freakin weirdo.

That always perplexed me. The man has an advanced belt in Aikido yet lacks the kinaesthetic intelligence to lock his arms and go 'chin to pocket' on a sprint?

I love these 80s- early 90s-movies, direct-to-video movies just to see the golden era of shitty American made cars

"Don't worry, if your car crashes it will be fine. You'll absorb the impact"

Steven Seagal is one of those people that seems to make sort of make sense in context when he's playing a bad character in a bad movie, because you can chalk it up to bad writing/acting/overall cheesiness. Then you see him in real life or watch something he does out of context and you realize he makes even less sense as a real person in the world. Like he's an alien that read a book about how to be human and is just doing his best.

That does seem to be the case.
Per my earlier post, I'm now in a loop of watching old car crash tests.

I'm not the smartest guy in the world.. but I would have thought it would be easier and most likely look much better to in fact shave his moustache, and then apply a fake moustache in whatever production he was doing..
:idk:

The movie he grew the mustache for was with another studio, it was in his contract he couldn't shave it and apparently they weren't interested in compromising. You'd think WB would have the resources and good judgement to figure out a feasible solution and you'd be wrong.

Also, about 75% of his screen time were those reshoots, conservatively. So he looks like that most of the movie and that clip is the opening scene.

The Hunted.. with Christopher Lambert. It's pretty bad.. but somehow completely entertaining.

It's even more perplexing to think that a real police department gives Steven Seagal authority.
