No worries, I mod most of my stuff too. I just want to make sure people understand the consequences (however light they may or may not be).

I'm going to boost the hell out of frequencies and cut those exact same frequencies with another boneshaker to see what that sounds like.

Y'know something that'd be a cool mod?
Changing the depth to a trim pot and adding a "GSE" knob (like on the Kowloon Walled Bunny) that allows you to strangle one of the clipping diodes. :poke:

I was thinking about circuit bending mine...Is that bad?? I mean, I have two more on the way.

Yah, I use this similarly, though mostly to wool up a Driving Notion. I tend to slightly favor the low boominess of the DN's low control with the mix tuned to about 11, leave the DN's High knob pretty low, then add some mids and further lows with the Boneshaker.

Is it anywhere near the Black Forest? I've been using one as an always on preamp/dirt but a parametric EQ would be sick.

One thing I dont care for so much...having to adjust the eq again if I change the gain setting from lower to past like 3oclock. Not a big deal but...

That's a good question that I don't have an answer to but I am going to try using it as a pre amp now for kicks.

I'm using mine as one.
Lately I've been plugging straight into a mixer so I can play with headphones and it's been doing quite well.

Using it as a pre-amp with a Supercollider going through it is creating some super riffage.

Nice! What do we have to do to bypass the grit and get a beautifully clean 3-band parametric preamp? Bypass the diodes before the high band?
