I was just surprised that the delay wasn't similar to that of the Korg Monotron Delay (which is actually a really good, noisy effect that readily self-oscillates).


What would be a good overdrive/distortion to pair with the Volca Keys?

yea i have the delay cranked all the way up, and u can barely hear it sometimes. i think it was meant more to fill in the gaps, rather than be overpowering. I can dig it. curious tho as to why they made it different than the monotron.

love all the detuning options on the Keys yo. it def has a laser/crystal like quality to the sound.

eeeeeee mine's is on the truck for delivery. HOPEfully they don't do what Ontrack (horrible delivery company) did yesterday and just let some random dood in the parking lot sign for my package.

it was only 12 6 inch audio cables and a midi cable or two, but still. that's just stoopid.

My Volca bundle should arrive tomorrow, excited! Only issue I see right off the bat is power. Looks like they take 6 AA batteries OR the Korg KA-350 supply, a 1.7A center positive AC adapter that costs like $26 ugh. And I def don't have a center positive adapter laying around. Also, not sure if barrel size is standard 2.1mm or the larger 2.5mm...

they do come with AA's and they last a good while. if that helps?
