The mids knob is before the gain stage, so cranking the mids is like goosing a distortion with a tubescreamer. More mids = more noise = moar BROOTZ

Okay, after a little more than a month with my Elements I can say that I am in love!!!!
In the last months I got a new job, asked to Ryan to build me a double Elements, totally forgot about it, got stuck in the holidays rush and now I regret that I didn't told him to build it up...
Ryan I'm sorry that I didn't send you any new, I'm really a d*ck sometime...
I felt so sorry that I played a Elements almost exclusivly since then, Am I forgived?
Here's a little Elements love:

Here's a link to a blank sheet to note your Elements settings. Nothing shinny, but usefull!

Cool, Dima! Now tell me, you're a super high output bass using kinda guy, aren't you? Do you find it overloads the Elements or you have to run it lower gain to compensate? Or do you run the pedal at 18V too? Just curious as I was asked recently about the Elements and high output basses and I'm not really sure...

I can't wait to get mine back. I took forever to find the black one, then I got it and did not know about the new dded circuit so I sent it to Ryan and am awaiting it's return. It was just too buzzy through a Victoria Silver Sonic. -Steve

Yep, that's me

I found that Elements work fine with my bass if I set bass cut to max. Sounds silly for playing bass, yeah, but I blend in some clean signal and run Elements into B3K to get my high-gain tone so it kinda works. I'm going to play more with knobs so maybe I'll come up with other settings I like, especially at the low-gain side, which I haven't really looked at yet.

Hello guys ! Thanks for sharing all those great settings !
One question : what will be the differences between a 9v , 12v and 18v elements sounds ?
It's not really easy to test for me so I wanted your feedback on this before buying some cables.

I'll see if I can record the same settings at 9 12 and 18 on the weekend. Will post the results here!

Cool, that makes sense to me... gotta give the signal some room for gain and other eq!

I've never heard the pedal at 12V as I don't have a regulated 12V adapter...the PP2+ isn't regulated in that position and will hum with the Elements.. so 12V is a bit of a mystery...
There's a big difference between 9V and 18V though... mainly in saturation. The lower voltage makes for a more sizzly saturated distorted pedal and the higher voltage sounds less compressed and drier. Definitely a personal preference kinda choice there.

Thanks Ryan, I should be able to try the 12v settings (new voodoo 4x4 is coming soon) so I'll give it a try, could be a good balance between the two.
I'm still interested with goroth samples ;-)

As an addendum, the other guitarist in the band took the keys to the rehearsal room last week and I won't get them back before Thursday, thus the lack of clippage. Sorry Golguth dude.
