Before I found the ridiculous deal on my goatkeeper, I was seriously gassing on their trem, I seriously don't know another trem that gives you that degree of control.

Hmm that's good to know. Their pedals definitely seem to be high quality. Maybe I'll give them another chance. I've never really looked at their trem or delay because of the fifty different ODsgoroth wrote:I think that's just where they've ended up and they're capitalising on that market. Brian was one of the early diy dudes and still posts a bit on forums - even on occasion correcting ri'd schematics of his pedals which is pretty awesome in my book. Fine, they've got fifty fucking overdrives in their line up, but the Leviathan was a brutal fuzz, and that Velvet can get pretty Velcro gnar. Dark Axel has had a v1 and a v2 tape echo - iirc he liked the v1 (non tap) better but the tap was still pretty good. That trem they have looks gasworthy too.

So Ive been looking for a vibrato and something throbby, so I decided on BOTH!

I'm not a huge phaser phan, but this one sounds surprisingly un-cheesy. Plus vibrato in the same box! Its economical!
I also want this for the chop:

Oh and one of these:

Which I think will go well with this:

Which I will have paid off by Monday!

Grand Orbiter is an awesome pedal. So much love for that thing. Love the new layout. I'd flip my previous gen, except my wife gave it to me as a present. Don't want to let it go due to the feels.neonblack wrote:So Ive been looking for a vibrato and something throbby, so I decided on BOTH!

GOs are great! I'd flip mine for the small except I'd defs lose a bunch of money on the swap. Big is fine, it's not like it's gigantic.
Wait, the little one has THREE rates? Is the top one audio freqs for ring mod sounds or something?

I think there's a setting that makes it static or something.
I'm in the no Grand Orbiter or any Earthquaker Devices modulation camp honestly, The Depths, Sea Machine, Grand Orbiter, I thought they all were really weak sounding, their drive and fuzz pedals seem good though.

All I'm GASing for these days is a SGV300 and a big ass custom Fuzzhugger. Other than that I'm happy with my set-up, might even sell more stuff soon.

If you can get over the size and stupid power requirements, the Modfactor handles all of this and more. It's the best trem I've ever used (and I've had a Sonar). They show up used for like $200 on Reverb all the time.neonblack wrote:So Ive been looking for a vibrato and something throbby, so I decided on BOTH!

Re: Sunday GAS Party(dick clarks rockin hangover headache)
something about every EQD pedal i've owned or tried has seemed funny to me and i have no idea how to describe it. like there's some kind of common characteristic sound quality that isn't jiving with my setup. it's weird cos they're generally awesome by all means but i can never settle on themTristan wrote:I'm in the no Grand Orbiter or any Earthquaker Devices modulation camp honestly, The Depths, Sea Machine, Grand Orbiter, I thought they all were really weak sounding, their drive and fuzz pedals seem good though.
as far as GAS goes i've kinda lost interest in guitar-related stuff being so happy with what i have right now so all i want is:

Have you thought about a DSI Tempest?backwardsvoyager wrote: as far as GAS goes i've kinda lost interest in guitar-related stuff being so happy with what i have right now so all i want is:

i've sort of skimmed it over but for my needs an analogue machine is kind of redundant as i want the sounds to be as clear and digital/non-realistic sounding as possible, and i'm pretty sure i need the 64 step sequencer and song mode functions on the machinedrum, not to mention the tempest being quite a bit more expensive. seems neat though.blakestree wrote:Have you thought about a DSI Tempest?
