The build quality feels pretty similar to MIJ/CIJ Fender stuff, so I'm a happy camper. Will run it through our setlist at practice next week and see how it does.

Took the ESP to practice tonight, and it was pretty great. Cuts through the mix way better than my Precision, but bandmates reported less low-end thump. Could definitely use more of a set-up, but I'm happy with it overall. Pickups seem to be wired in series which is great for strategically stepping up my volume when needed. The 4th switch bypasses the volume and tone controls, but the difference isn't that dramatic. May look at rewiring it. Might use the 4th switch for phase reverse on the middle pickup? Another great, weird Fender mutt from ESP. (Also a big fan of those ESP Hybrid series guitars...)

So I did a slight down grade in basses to pay off my Ezhi and Aka pre order (which was 1200 bucks!!!!!!!! hahahaha). Anyway, after doing so, I realized something. 1. Elrick makes a bass that is more affordable than MTD. 2. They play and sound almost identical. 3. The Elrick is MORE versatile for my playing style. 4. I can buy a hand made, brand new Elrick for 2400 dollars. HOLY FUCK.

Anyway here's a picture with me.

What are all the knobs and toggles for? And what's the purpose of all the wood above the fretboard? Or is it just that the cutaway is massive? My eyes are confused.

I'm not sure of the specific reasoning behind that type of design, but there are lots like it. It's a singlecut, so maybe it has something to do with that??

Switches are passive/active and mid range freq

The knobs are

volume, treble, bass and then the rest are for the 3 band eq.

That atk pickup is tight & versatile than I thought it would. I'm not fond of the look of huge chrome slab bridge
