Time means nothing. If you want to want to ...I seriously got distracted and lost track of what I was saying. No really.

Even though I love gear, 90% of my playing is either acoustic or straight into the amp with no use of effects at all...

Does that stop me from owning 5 fuzz pedals and dropping enough cash on pedals that could buy me an SG? No, not at all

i really never wanted or intended to have a great honkin' huge pedalpoard and a looping setup both...things just kind of spiralled out of control. i don't know if i want to stay with the big board or not...i haven't been out of the house with it, and when i took the last version out i only used a couple of the fuzz options. i've actually downgraded the level of fuzz...i took off the Great Wall because there wasn't anything in "normal music" OTT enough to use it.

there's a certain level where i wish i could go back to two electrics, one acoustic, and two stomps on the floor...it was way simpler, and a whole lot easier to store, move, maintain, and otherwise deal with on a material-plane level. but i've become too accustomed to the broader palette to go back now, i'm afraid...even selling the second Strat or Les Paul, which are partially redundant but still different due to pickups, woods, etc., is hard to accept.

i've always wanted to get a nice silverface champ and a good guitar and thats it for a while. so of course i have a pedal board that at least doubles the value of my guitar and amp and i can't play for shit. hurr

I really want the Frequency Central Sonic Death Ray Phaser, even though i generally don't like phasers and it costs like $450. it sounds like a big old honking slice of Slowdive with whipped fog topping. why do i have to still be out of work?

Isn't Slowdive flangers though? :erm:

it depends...some of Christian's sound is phasing, a lot of Neil's sound is chorus, and there's a fair bit of the flanging added to the overall mix in post-production, especially on the middle EPs, that kind of "Losing Today" sound where everything disappears in those huge gorgeous clouds of flange and reverb. on the long, slow cycles with gobs of reverb flanging and phasing start to become difficult to distinguish as well, especially when you add distortion...whether you're using phase or flanging, it just starts to sound like WOOOOOOOOOOSH.

My friend left his phone at work, so I'm bombarding it with text messages.
