I had both. They're very different. I would not replace one with the other (although I flipped my Ct5 and kept my Raptio).

Yeah, also worth noting that I flipped the Ct5 because A) I needed money and B) I have a GB24, so it wasn't a difficult decision.

heya dude I know I must sound like a broken record at this point, but you should try dd-500 if you have the board space/flow! I can put together some freeze/raptio like clips together over the weekend and show you all the crazy momentary shit it can do

Dude I've actually been heavily considering one for that exact reason... Like it would replace so many pedals for me. Definitely shoot me some clips or tag me on Instagram or something!! The shit you've been doing has me leaning towards one.

Basically just always considering narrowing everything down to two dirts and two big delay/modulation multi-effects. Would love to see some DD-500 clips.

Well shit, fellas.

I've wanted another El Cap for a long time. Then I started thinking about the RE-20. Now this fuckin DD-500 comes along and goddamn I want one.

Plugged in four delays in a row today after dirt and before two tremolos to do a shoot out for the ultimate mini board, then i was reminded how fun having multiple delays on at once is. Minimal setup is over for me. At least for the next little while!

I can't fathom running only one delay...



I played a '68 Custom Deluxe Reverb, yesterday. I had to turn it up, to the point I felt I was gonna get asked to turn it down, in order to get the breakup I wanted. I'm worried, now, that that is going to be too loud for at home. I'm thinking I may have to go back to my originally intended Princeton. But, I really wanted those two different channels and 12", though.

For at home the Princeton '65 Reissue is definitely way better.
Plus that it's pretty much the only 1x10" combo that actually sounds like something, there's enough oomph for sure.
