Osama Bin Laden owed me $5

This is another one of those moments where I read a page and feel the need to comment on a number of posts. Let's do this...

But it's frustrating when people are boring or seem to hate you or god knows what 99% of the time yet do that 1% be awesome turn around as it means i don't give up trying to talk to them even when they go straight back to being guarded and uninterested.

We're sorry..we really are. :( :(

I could say a lot about this, but I'll just say I agree with StudioShutIn and add some Dead Weather lyrics:
I'm not the way that you found me.
I'm neither here nor there.
One day, I'm happy and healthy.
Next, I ain't doin' so well.

He asked me where i was going i said home he said me too and then asked if i lived around here and i said yes he said he did as well he then rode off. I'm kinda sad i lack the conversation skills needed to go be like whoa hey lets be friends and get drunk and ride bikes together and then almost run into people and be friends with them too YAY. *sigh*

Making friends with really drunk people typically isn't all that difficult.

THIS. IS. GENIUS.

There are far more rage/unhappiness posts than happiness thread posts. Everyone work this week to change that :thumb:

I wish I didn't have such a hard time writing lyrics.
I get two or three lines that just pop into my head, but I can never work it into a a cohesive whole.

I'll come up with a phrase that'd sound good as a title, no words for the rest of the song though.. and then forget it because I never wrote it down. Happens all the damn time! For previous RPM Challenges (record an album in a month contest) I had multiple albums worth of good-sounding titles, but no songs recorded :(

write in weird structures, writing gets a whole lost easier when you only have to write one to two verses.

you could also use short phrases and drastically effect it. no one cares what you're saying when all they hear is one word before a massive delay feedback assault.

i'm trying to warm to the Kevin Shields strategy: write one verse with six or seven syllables per line and sing it over and over again, two verses tops. problem is, i came up listening to Stephen Stills, who not only wrote 3- and 4-verse songs but wrote lyrics that read like poetry on the printed page.

I won an ebay auction yesterday but I realized in the middle of last night that my old address was listed on my account so I frantically sent a bunch of messages to the guy, but I haven't heard back yet. Grrrrrr...I really hope this thing doesn't get shipped to Minneapolis by mistake.
