Ugh, I got drunk at work last night and when I got home I spent like $130 on Steam...

Cool. I haven't played it yet even though I had the Beta like a month ago. I chipped in on their Kickstarter, so I'm glad it turned out good.

Obsidian intend to make an isometric RPG with a "tactical real-time with pause" combat system.

Dudes, if you didn't know, Black Mesa, the user-made...uhh..remake of Half-Life with the Source engine is out.
http://release.blackmesasource.com/SHIT ROCKS DUDE. SO WELL DONE.
AND it's totally free, you just need Steam and the Source SDK Base 2007 download in its "Tools" section. If you try to install Black Mesa, Steam will download the SDK automatically too.
The game's like...90% complete, but right now it's missing the
alien levels, which are gonna be released as an expansion sometime.

Nearly $1.6m in, what, 3-4 days?
Bulldozin' through them stretch goals!
It's going to be SO GOOD. Don't get me wrong, I like all of the newer RPGs too, but man, there's a very special place in my heart for all of the Infinity Engine games. I'd be excited for this just because of the whole isometric, real-time with pause gameplay thing, but the fact that Obsidian are behind it...
There's
a pretty interesting interview with Tim Cain up on the EuroGamer website, too.
Also bought Borderlands 2. Have to wait for it to unlock though (since I'm not in the US and all). Pretty excited.

Don't really have anyone to play Borderlands 2 with and found the first one boring as hell when playing solo so might pick it up once I find some partners. Right now I'm still loving Darksiders II and once FIFA13 comes out my life is done. I have had FIFA12 for year and played it aat least once a week for the entire time period.

Those Walking Dead point-and-click games are actually kinda cool.
Makes me want to play Shadowgate.

Totally agree, I also still have a huge boner for the Infinity Engine games, and the guys working on this are cool. Nice interview too, thanks for digging that up.
