I'd like to put together a Bronco with a big ol' Musicman humbucker in it. Maybe two! That would be funny.

Isn't it funny how the neck plate in that picture is parallel to the horizontal surface but not to the body carve of the cutaway on the left? It makes it look at first as though the neck plate isn't on right. I have looked at many basses and had this same initial feeling until I realized the body isn't done at right angles.
EDIT: also wouldn't it be cool if the aircraft carrier five and six string basses had belt buckle sized neck plates commensurate to the size of the neck?

Re: Let's see your BASS!
Thanks.
There must be a way to work in a real belt buckle instead of neck plate.
Bass vi neck won't arrive for weeks so I'm going to add a neck humbucker to a white Squier 70's Jazz.
____
Affinity Jazz Bass bodies aren't the same size as other Jazz bodies; the horns are smaller on the Affinity. You can tell with eyeball test or if you have both, put the Affinity in front of another Jazz and you'll see that they're different. I haven't compared other models only the J.

Just got this bad boy today.

No clue what the model is. Came from a friend's dad's storage unit. 5 strings, active electronics, coil tap? Just overall funky but really solid. And completes bass spectrum from 4 to 6 strings. So yea, if any of you know the model, lemme know.
Also dat ric. Fuckin' blue FLCL as fuck ric. HNGGGGG.

Squier VM 70's Jazz Bass is amazing. I'm still going to pimp it out with a Musicman homage, and trim the gloss from the neck, but it's great, stock. As much as I love the Freeman P neck, the Jazz neck is ideal for me, for playing chords & easy access.
I love the Geddy model & Jazz Satin necks as well. VM 70's is a solid, inexpensive alternative. The end.

Re: Let's see your BASS!
finally get to re-join the bass club:

30.5" shortscale 'Series A' p-bass copy. Bought it locally for $40. Tuners were changed out before I got it. Added a Fender nickel-plated brass bridge, Nelson Superchief pickup and Rotosound flats. Covered the expanded route with a spare flying v guard. Zeni Geva sticker courtesy Eivind August's ilxmas gift. Perfect compliment to my Mustang, and having the superchief in both makes for a smooth transition in scale and in sound/dynamic range.
