Man, idk bout yall, but the reason I wanted a Grabber was definitely Brian Cook.
Though, I know that Sr. Magongalo wants one due to Nathan Latona. Or, just due to playing on mine.

wish they were less expensive
Damn, who's ripper?
My friend Nick, not sure if you know him??
And it's from playing yours, I usually dont like Nathan's tone at all hahaha.

Also, I don't think I do...but clearly, he's an alright guy, due to owning a Ripper and knowing you.

In:
Flanger Hoax. This thing is incredible. I took the liberty of modding it to accept a standard 9v DC tip-ve supply. Sounds identical to with the EHX one.
Interestingly, the 18v EHX adaptors put out 22-24v (!)
Inside teh Hoax there is a 9v regulator (78L09) and I probed the circuit, at no point is there more than 9v going on.
So that was completely overkill, wasnt it, EH?! I swear they just put whatever fucking power supply in the boxes they have most of that quarter. The PCB even says 12v 100mA.
The pedal is supplied with, and says on the screenprint 18v 500mA. Whatever EH

!
Made a slight mess with the dremel but never mind, these EH boxes are really hard to drill so I have to dremel a pilot hole and slipped...twice!
For anyone that wants to do this mod its simple, wire the +9v to the right leg of the regulator, and the GND to the central peg.
It can still use the 18v DC supply. You could remove that from the board but its way more work.
Note you cannot do this with all EH pedals because some actually require higher internal voltages (usually regulated to 15v) and some are positive ground. Hoax is negative ground!
I also had to swap out the mix knob, now it all works great (mix pot was borked, only 0% or 100% wet)
Hardest part of the whole deal was getting the bloody knobs off.
Particle Got this in a trade. sounds really crazy and fun! Not sure the utility, but its a fun, small, feature packed little beast.
Ive also got in the Dr Scientist Bit Quest and Frazz Dazzler. Written a bit about them at the Dr Sci. board. The Bit Quest is amazing!

Like I say it wont work for all EHX pedals with wall warts but for some, its great.
I have a '77 Deluxe Mistress that is negative ground, added a charge pump for 15v (from a regular 9v DC connection, doubled to 18v, regulated down to 15v replacing the transformer and wired plug)
hooked up to the onboard power pads and bobs your uncle - can be run off a standard DC brick now.

sigh. i want a MIDI foot playable controller again. i love the McMillian (or whatevah) 12 Step..... if it wasn't made for stunted growth midget leprechauns. that thing is MINISCULE.
ideally - a 2 to 2.5 octave lightweight either softswitch like what Doc Sci uses or Taurus style pedal MIDI out controller on the floor. fucking. WANT.
but i don't think it exists. durn it.

Recently got the EHX Big Muff Pi Nano, it really does sound like a NYC Big Muff Pi.
Incoming: Pigtronix Polysaturator ($59.99) and Pigtronix Aria Disnortion. Best Buy WAS blowing out these pedals. The Polysaturator is still $59.99, but the Aria (which was close in price is up to it's normal $165.99! I paid less than that for both! Giggety.
