I've played 2 of the eastwood basses and 3-4 guitars...was overall unimpressed. This was 5+ years ago though so maybe they've stepped up.
I recall liking the club bass, and not the map bass (which is considerably more expensive), though I wanted to like it so bad. The twin tone, and tuxedo were pretty nice. I almost had a twin tone for $300, which would have been a good deal but at $500 normally, I'd prob go elsewhere. Don't remember the others for sure.

I've been relatively unimpressed with every Eastwood I've played too. Like they weren't awful guitars, just nothing special. For the price I'd rather just buy an actual old oddball japanese guitar.

people on the Gretsch Pages who are into Mosrites generally frown upon the Eastwood Hi Flyer, noting that there are much better Mosrite-inspired guitars currently made most notably by Hallmark.

DUDE a Univox Hi-Flyer KILLS ANY EASTWOOD... I see Eastwood as cheap ass junk and can't take 'em seriously... The only shop in Austin that regularly stocks them is next to the main Singer Songwriter club and they charge full MSRP for EHX and have a ton of Mandolins and Ukes...

The Hallmarks are so sexy, I need that fookin' surf pearl 60 custom! Also yeah, I wouldn't buy an eastwood.

I've picked up Eastwoods and they just felt like pieces of wood. But, I recall picking up a Univox Hi Flyer in a "$100 or less" bin at the Arlington Guitar Show and thinking to myself "This is a fucking guitar!".

I've said it on here before, but I've played a handful of Eastwoods at a store, and literally every one the company sent was fucked up in some way, but the company wouldn't take them back. So I would play anything of theirs before buying it if you are dead set on getting one.

I'm actually trying to sell an Eastwood Classic 6 Deluxe for my dad locally, and I will say that while it is a decent guitar it definitely isn't amazing. The pots went loose very quickly and it just feels a little clunky all around.
That said, I have played a show with it before and it handled it pretty well. Good tone. And a Bigsby is always a great big plus.

I made it a point to state it's been several years since I've picked one up, cause I was hoping they'd improved. They make visually awesome guitars that seem very interesting and I want to like them...but they charge too much for what you end up with.

Malekko 300 dark for $199, not sure if that's a decent price or not but you don't seem to see them too often.
