Hah I'm actually not sure where that quilt came from.
My favorite part of the Tele is the neck pickup, it sounds heavenly.

But I think I may try selling/trading it for something else. Though I'm not sure what yet, possibly a pawn shop mustang (same/similar pickup in both positions).

Yeah those pickups are pretty sweet to my ears!

how do you handle the intonation with the three saddles?

I bought it used and the intonation is almost perfect so I haven't touched it haha.

After I get it all set up with new strings and such I have to decide whether or not to keep the Tele or sell it.

Also, opinions please: would an off-white / mint green pick guard look ok on the jazzmaster with it being sunburst and all?

Mint may be OK, better than white, imo, looks like this:

Stupid sunburst. I wish I could have gotten something like arctic white. Or satin finished wood. But beggars can't be choosers.
The mint doesn't look quite as good as I was thinking it might. Maybe I will go for black.

The tort actually doesn't look bad, maybe it will grow on me.

Jazzmasters and Jaguars are probably the only guitars that are cool to me with sunburst

nice JM i'm going to a guitar shop today to test out Blacktop and Classic Player JMs - i probably finally made my mind and decided i'll buy a JM, not a Jaguar or a Mustang

For the time being I think I'll stick with the tortoise. The black doesn't look that great to me either, so I guess there's no sense in spending $25-40 bucks for a new one.

Jags and Jazzmasters look great sunburst/tort guard. Arctic white is another level though, agree with you there.

What you want is FUCKING GOLD.
