ok so I beat dark souls. awesome. but here's what I did. i thought it would be really boring and frustrating to do the whole shebang over so slowly. so I deleted my save file, and more specifically, the 1.05 patch. then within 30 minutes of starting, I did the infinite souls glitch and got 4 million souls. this way, I can experiment with a build I really wanted to try out, and not dick around for 20 hours until I actually felt powerful. it's actually a lot of fun now that I know what I'm trying to do with all dem souls

double post, but fuck it. I downloaded Person 3 FES off the playstation store today. I'm really looking forward to this

The thing about dark souls is that there is a mechanic of real world physics in the game. Cliff's are not just a theoretical idea you step off one you are going to die . Same goes for a lot of other challenges in the game, you really have to play how the game wants you too, which I know sounds silly and all but for this game it is the truth. Once you get it down, losing all of your "loot" does not seem so bad. Stashing souls can be achieved by hoarding all of the precious warrior souls you find through out the game.

The game will either spit you out or suck you in. It truly is evil. ,

yah. i likededed it, but i don't have enough time with games lately to work through everything that frustrated me to get the meaty gems of goodness out of it.

curious if Darksiders 2 is going to be any good. i liked the first one a'ight, was neat but super derivative, but just tried to run through it last night and it was BORING. conundrum.

Persona 3 is so good. Okay, maybe a bit less awesome than SMT: Nocturne—which I loved, and continue to love—to bits, but still, so good.

oh yeah. Nocturne is the first one i think i played in the Shin Megami Tensei universe. that's the wrap-around Tokyo one ne? so many HOURS on that bugger.

Yeah. It's crazy good, isn't it? Everything about it: the concept, the gameplay mechanics, the whole atmosphere, THAT FUCKIN DEMON COMPENDIUM (it's like Pokemon, but better). Urg.

Shit, tempted to put my replay of Planescape: Torment on the backburner and go through Nocturne again.

damnit. i miss having 6 hours a day to just blow on a game and get all deep into it. that's kinda why i stick with FPS's (hopefully weird ones) now. i just don't have all the spare time i used to.

miss it.

I really shouldn't be playing videogames as much as I am now—I'm supposed to be working on my MA thesis, alongside all my other commitments—but urg. It's so easy to go "okay maybe I'll take a bit of a break from writing", load up a game, and have the hours fly by.

I've managed to avoid buying Diablo 3 for the time being (which is in itself a miracle), but Borderlands 2 is tempting me (spent so much time playing the first one). Gotta get as much writing in as humanly possible before that one comes out and ruins my life.

so the plan is to beat Tales of Graces F this weekend and then play Persona 3

I never did play Persona 4, though...

think i got bogged down and annoyed with the dating sim shtuff.

Anyone play Total War: Shogun 2? I've been having a blast with it.
