Thought I'd have a chance to pick up the gong version yesterday but alas, stay tuned
I used that sheet metal to try out different placements for the resonator before drilling on the gong, turned out to sound pretty cool on its own and has its own unique things going on too. plus, it's a cool plate reverb. But it doesn't sound nearly as interesting as the gong. Also, obviously, you can put two contact mics on it and have stereo plate reverb

I was getting some really great results using a fewtility one to blend the plate reverb signal with the metallik resonator signal last night.
I wired up some contact mics last night, and did a trial run waterproofing them. Recorded blowing bubbles in water. Think it sounds kinda wet

Hey there, well this was interesting. Got lucky and this started happening. I'm playing acoustic guitar into The Dark Interpreter Mater Tenebrarum. First bit was how it was responding to dynamics while playing the same interval, second bit was how it responded to pitch/dynamics. Pretty great, probably never get this same response again such is the nature of our lady of darkness

I've still yet to tame Our Lady. Certainly fun trying though. Thanks again for the recommendation.

Hey, that's awesome you decided on the dark interpreter

It's such a mysterious instrument, highly rewarding

Hey there, here is a listen to the Make Noise LxD low pass gate. I made a simple patch with IFM Swoop and Fourses, first up is the "dry" signal for like 20 seconds, then that signal through the LxD's 12dB section...then back to the dry signal and then through the LxD's 6dB section till the end. There are pretty obvious differences between the two sections of the LxD, both sound really good to me. I mixed in the dry signal here and there so you can hear what the LxD is working from. The "dry" signal is the output from the HIgh Pass filter on a IFM Sprott, the LxD gets its output from the Sprott's Low pass output.

Hey hey, here is another listen to the Make Noise LxD low pass gate. Same patch as last clyp, but this goround its just Low Pass output of the IFM Sprott into the LxD. Last clyp I had a Make Noise Wogglebug's Burst output into the LxD's Strike, this clyp I've got the Snazzy FX Dreamboat's Y CV out into the strike, instead of its gate output. First up is the 12dB section, then the 6db section, then the 12dB into with the 6dB....here i put the burst into the 12dB strike and Dreamboat Y CV in the 6dB strike. Really diggin low pass gates

Re: UG demos Zvex Lo-Fi Loop Junky in Timeline f/x loop

Hey hey, that one thread got me inspired to experimenting with putting delay's in the f/x loop of other delays. This was a good discovery. I put a Zvex Lo-Fi Loop Junky in the f/x loop of a Strymon Timeline in Digital mode. Just playing a solo guitar track through it, and recording new loops throughout. Pretty neat how they build up sound on sound style when you turn the Repeats up, and with the Mix control on the Timeline 100% wet all you hear are the Loops, but you can still record new loops of the the dry signal! You can get some really great modulations on the Loops with real subtle movements on the Time, towards the end i kinda tweaked the Time a bit and you can hear that typical response.
At the end I switched the Timeline to dTape mode, and just have a single Loop repeating infinitely. I slowly tweak the Time knob and the Repeats knob on the TImeline so you can hear how the Timeline affects the Loops in isolation.

Hey now, here is a listen to the Lastgasp Art Laboratories Green Monster Ultra Fuzz, septic fuzz, best fuzz. First I go through the range of the Sens 1 knob, then Sens 2 knob, then mess around with them both.

Awesome.
UG, dude, it's time to bust out the video camera again. I'm sick & tired of these clyps. I would like some motion pictures please.

You're such a teasing whore UG. I hope I can get to that level of collect shit like you. I am envious sir, even though it's a sin. LOL

Nice clip, UG! Got my v2 out today! Been meaning to mess around with it (and re-record a video for it). Quite a fun fuzz.
Still miss the videos though.

I can't believe you made that Green Monster sound so good! hahaha. All the clips I've heard before were awful. Awesome.
