It's the scoop I cannot stand!
No more mids, gone from the land.

But, I shall try a Megalith some day.
Yet if it is scooped, it must go away!

Well it's not out yet, but my pedal will be muff based and have a mids boost. :) You can scoop them or boost them. So it may be for you. :)

I'll update when it's finally to me. UGh. LOL

When that comes out, oh believe you me, I shall be taking a gander upon it! :joy: Because hey, I Love Fuzz. :omg:

But... I have played a variety of Muffs "with mids" and I normally continue my usual thoughts of  Muffs for me.

So uh, I think this thread is Talkbass, all condensed into one hateful shit fest.
http://www.talkbass.com/threads/signatu ... l.1153456/

Also, I realized that the Rickenbacker fans are quick to defend anything Rickenbacker related, going as far as messaging you (me) I'm wrong and should be banned for being wrong (misinformed).
And in a separate thought, I put stainless steel rounds on my Epi T-bird and I love it again. The old ones were super dead and made it sound lifeless.

look I am really very sorry I made that voodoo doll and set it on fire but I heard that at some point somewhere on the web you said something bad about rics… Dude.. Ric dudes are asses and it is encouraged by Rickenbacker… John Hall posts on the ric forums encouraging his army of god fearing Ric-o-natics to swarm upon you is you say anything against them or build anything that looks like one :trippy: sadly I just wish their brand new made basses were any good... also… that thread is too large to read, it has too many words and all of them are a waste of bandwidth

Yes but you play a signature signature bass not a signature bass so that is how you get a loophole :p

Yeah I bad mouthed a Rickenbacker and pointed out some flaws on their design, then got the Ric army on my case, I don't care much about that but I implored PaulBoyer to elaborate on my inaccuracies (I had a few, not lying) but he broke down my statement but said nothing. I now know I was trying out a 4001C64S but I also have shit taste in my mouth from this. And I'm not going to buy that ass's book, he can eat my ass.

Secondly, the link is too long to go through but yeah; 21 PAGES of of the same three opinions, over and over and over.
Adam Clayton is a shit bassist.
He is a money grabbing whore.
Signature instruments are cash grabs.

I posted this thread because this is what I think talkbass is: (mostly) older men set in their ways, patting each other on the back and attacking any one who is different. The effects section sucks hard, everyone wants to talk about low gain overdrives and maybe compressors and rarely modulation but never how to use effects effectively . The technique side is informative, and the more time I spend lurking in Amps the more I want to try and hear how those 15/6 cabs sounds. I like the idea of different size speakers handling different frequencies.

Sadly, when there is a maelstrom of parroted opinions, trolling takes too much effort. I said my honest piece, some people liked it, but like a dog chasing its own tail, the discussion spun out of control.

No love or hate for Rics or TB here. I've played 5 or 6 Ric bass and guitars, but never owned one. They seem to be a love/hate thing for most people, and I liked but didn't love.

They're similar to Warwick because the design, feel, and tone is specific to the brand. I love Warwick for the things that make them Warwick. I have a hard time loving other brands because they are not Warwick.

I still like and frequent TB. There is a crowd of users there who I'm quite fond of in the effects forum. I've made identical posts on ILF and TB and had opposite responses from each. ILF hating and TB loving. I don't take it personally, becauseaybe it's me? Either way I still like TB in it's cool corner.
