That red one is the definition of throwing everything at the wall...
...but to be honest I like the look of the second one? Although it could do without the neck binding and weird pickup selector position.

Yeah, I kinda like it. Hate the big dots, though. Needs blocks or a blank board if it's gonna have binding.Bartimaeus wrote:...but to be honest I like the look of the second one? Although it could do without the neck binding and weird pickup selector position.

The red one just confirms for me that Fender is doing everything possible to make JMs and Jags in to Strats.Bartimaeus wrote:That red one is the definition of throwing everything at the wall...

I would be all about the Tele if it had a traditional Tele Deluxe pickguard. At least the top part and the pick up selector moved up there.

If that Tele Deluxe isn’t super limited run I’m buying one
Edit: fuck that I’d rather build one.... needs a tele bridge and pickup

Shit I'm into that telething. If I didn't already have a JM I love and a Telecaster I love, I might consider it.
I think it's cool though.

Re: A few NAMM nuggets
The filter in the KORG Delta is similar to the "Traveler" filter in the first synth series, I suppose? It sounds good and the different modes are terrific, but it's a lot more fun with separate lowpass and highpass controls. I have an 800DV from that era and the filters inside belong to the best that have been invented.echorec wrote:I don't know how many people shop with MF, but it looks like they'll be carrying Cusack soon.

G-Man in Oklahoma has just announced a V2 of his Delta filter. It's based on a somewhat under-appreciated Korg. The Delta is a string/synth combo machine that gets overshadowed by the Lambda and other Korgs of the late 70s/80s. He also makes a 2600-inspired filter.

(They should have used these Taveler filters in the Mono/Poly as well, because this synth's filter is nothing special IMO. To my ears the same as the "Brass" filter in my Trident.)

Fender guitars creation process:
1. Write down design features of all pre-80's models on slips of paper
2. Place slips in a hat.
3. Pull them out one by one till you have this year's model
"Alright let's see, it's gonna be mustang shaped, have a 72 deluxe tele pickguard, a strat trem, aaaaand duo sonic pickups."
"What kind of bridge, sir?"
"Eh whatever we got laying around the warehouse."

I prefer the term cocks.earthdevice wrote:Good to see you guys are still dicks around here.echorec wrote:If I was someone who wanted a guitar to sound like a guitar, then I'd be fairly pleased with the results of the Westwood. Good for EQD. They can put some more money into their kids' college funds. Children are the future, gang.
I miss EQD presence here and I tell you that all the time man.
On the real though, the pedal sounds nice. I think we are just jaded by the fact that there have been so many clean type od's pushed out in the last couple of years. Honestly, like I said, I'd use it but I have other pedals that do the same thing. IE Darkglass B7K (does the clean sound perfect with a small amount of OD), Toneczar Dove (same). I'd still like to try it though.
For the record, we aren't all dick who only like bleeps and bloops. I like a good drive with my bass any day over some fucking PLL bs. Though I do have your PLL and love it. hah
I will say though, I'm super MEH on new effects here lately. I just haven't seen anything that's really grabbing me. It's not the developers faults. It's my fault for buying way too much over the years.
