Because of people of your ilk...
Buying with their eyes
my top3 to buy with:
1) the tingly feeling in my pants
2) my eyes
3) strangers' opinions in the internet

i might get things wrong from time to time, but at least i have loads of pedals to keep me warm.

I can't. I just can't.

This is equivalent to you saying I’m wrong and not “respecting my opinions”.

Very astute. I don't respect your opinions, because you haven't the faintest idea of what you are talking about.

In CBA pedals at least, your signal never gets digitized. The digital part is only controlling the functions. You can't blend digital and analog signals, it's either analog or digital. Your post doesn't really make sense.

Joel made a graph on how this works, your signal gets split into 3 signals when it reaches the input, 2 are then affected while your analog signal goes straight through, the digital effect them meet your analog effect when coming out the output keeping the analog path intact while the other part of your signal goes through its digital path

not all things should be respected just because people might call them "opinions".

And you dont chime with your opinions on the matter because apparently you’re just here to judge and prevent yourself from me calling you out on any false statements you post and looking like an idiot

I'd like a link plox

From the CBA faq:
"Is the signal path really analog?
Yes, the signal path is 100% analog. There exist some analog devices that can interface with little digital microprocessors (stuff like bucket brigades, light dependent resistors, etc.). These parts are not cheap, but I’m going for quality and uniqueness here, not trying to save a buck. There are tons of boutique companies out there that do a great job selling analog effects pedals without the digital control. I’m not that company and am not interested in that."

I think this is the first time in my six years here someone has accused me of not chiming in with an opinion.

i think i need a new cap for the winter. all i have is a boring grey one. orange might be too much for me, but what about like some nice earthy tones? maybe like a tobacco burst cap. that would be objectively better than what i currently have.
