Clicked on it despite the URL.
First paragraph hurt my face. Couldn't read more.

that is the mission of comesect. although when sneaking around at venues and open house gigs..there really is alot of great noise going on...the best performers are the ones that are not touring and making it into ''somthing'' and disappear from the "scene" ...fuckin genre worship...im totally disheartened with shit today...the best noise has a single audience, and that is you.
though, going up to hotsprings soon taking my gear, friends gotta a little sleezey bar, hopfully its filled with tourists when comesect turns on.

I've loved Boss stuff since I first got my hands on it. Never had it let me down, and it did what I wanted.
Some stuff from other folks works too. Always has.
But realistically, I'd be fine with an all Boss setup.

It started with a FZ-2 taking my boutique superfuzz off the board, and now has expanded to a CS-2, HM-2 and BF-3 replacing the boutiques. While I am down with some boutique pedals, Boss just sound so right and grab onto my signal so well. Plus, for me boutique's have jumped the shark. Who cares about the midrange frequencies from an NOS russian germanium, silicon whatever. Are we players or are we curators of some tone snob museum?
Fuck off, ya wank.

The promoter of the homogenized

The progressive forward thinker
...Compounded by political oppressiveness, social ostracism, and personal strife has been the breeding ground for music of all forms. So thank you BM73 for being the nay-sayer and providing the proper catalyst for creation. Through your contribution and the general social/political/economic/ecological climate of the world, surely a diamond will be born. Though it will most assuredly not conform to your ideals and close mindedness.

If I were putting together a touring pedalboard... it would be mostly Boss and MXR.

I actually have used some Boss pedals for iRerror tracks. And I use Maxon delays, which are similar to the DM-2/3. All this time I should have used weird, modulated boteek delays? Where have you been my whole life.
Deep Purple are great, as is Merzbow. Didn't know we were supposed to choose between either classic rock or full-on noise. What do we do with Ash Ra Tempel then?
For real though, pedals are tools, use whatever does what you need them to do. Whether it is boutique or mass produced is secondary (and as soy boy rightly points out, Boss isn't a gigantic mega corp killing child workers, and Digitech is basically two dudes iirc). The theoretical separation between music and "sound art" has always striked me as unintuitive, but whatever, it's cool that we like different stuff. The snowflake thing is getting old now, though.

DOD is owned by Digitech (and is small), but Digitech is owned by a bigger boy yet - Harman, who made almost 7 billion last year and is being bought out by Samsung.
Roland is much, much smaller (under a billion a year with couple thousand employees total).

"I wont spend $220 on that pedal now"
Have fun.
I had not gone through the entire thread yet

I had the same thought as you
