Kent should most probably support his local business though

The Wash is great. It pretty much does exactly what it says it does - lush, ambient type delay/reverb that turns awesomely cloudy... the tap is also very helpful. It's not the cheapest piece of gear and that has always been a factor for me when I bought egar, but even in my opinion - it is worth every cent
like... if I didn't need to be careful with money now, I'd get one for myself

I sometimes think I could flip my RM-1N for a Stargazer because they kinda sounds pretty close on my rm-1n's favorite setting. But I can't. What do you think about it Jan?

Tough. Depends on what you're using on the RM-1N, really... Stargazer can do some of it (and switch between two sounds), but only some of it - it obviously lacks the dirt, the oscillation footswitch and you don't have as much control over it in general
but at some settings yes - they can be quite interchangeable I think. For normal sounds, those for which the RM-1N is an overkill

(which are why I stick with my Ghost Echo)

It's not even that the pedal isn't worth its price imo, I totally agree that it may well be worth every cent, just based on the clips I heard.
I don't have the scratch atm, but I'm about to sell one of my guitars, so who knows what'll happen next
It do just straight delays or just the reverb thing seperately if I wanted it too, right? If so, if it's basically a 2-in-1 deal, the price isn't too hard to justify. And from a real estate point of few, it makes total sense to go with a combo pedal like this one, instead of two seperate ones.
If it's not dead obvious, I'm just convincing myself here that it's totally okay to spend all the money I get for my strat on this pladask

Weeell... You can have straight delays and then turn on the multihead/reverby section separately but it will not do reverb on it's own. That circuit is, from what I've tried, tied only to the delay circuit. If you turn on the Wash circuit but don't have the delay turned on, the pedal is still in bypass mode.

I see...But what if you just back off the "d. feedback" and "d. level" controls? Or would that tame the intensity of the wash as well?

been a bit busy, you see?

This is awesome! I've been so pumped on my Romferd. It's the most intuitive pedal I've ever used in the spacey noises wonderful category.

well... see it that way - the Wash is fed by the delay. so yeah, you can back them off, but as you guessed, the effect won't be the same
I mean yeah, there can be stuff done, I just wanted to make clear that those are not separate circuits and that the wash is codependent on the delay circuit

^Thanks for clearing that up, thanks. It's not even that big a deal, I can't remember the last time I used reverb without having at least delay pedal on at the same time

So this is super fun

really well-voiced delay that I totally dig, you can play around with dynamics and stick weird shit into the effects loop... the Boss RPS-10 was a bit finnicky that night so I didn't get that one thing that I really wanted going (heavily chorused gated delay so when you play hard you get delay and swirlzies) without weird noises from it
REGARDLESS... if you like your pedals interactive, this is the shit

in the couple next weeks, there will be demos of the Smallsound/Bigsound TAFM, Pladask Elektrisk Romferd, the new Hungry Robot Kármán Line AND there might be a special little video made with different pedals fed by the Teenage Engineering Rhythm pocket drum machine
