I'm eating what can only be described as a mountain of potatoes and pork while watching Hardware.
Goddamn classic.

I was perusing through the collection to find a couple dumb comedies to send to a buddy... Forgot all about this one, probably for good reason. Vulgar. The fictional history of the cross dressing View Askew clown. It is indeed Vulgar.

@calfzilla - You're 2 for 2 with me today hommie  First BANSHEE now VULGAR. One of the most unique tag lines for a film (maybe it wasn't the tag line?). It could have been someone made one of those old school Borders movie lists (any one remember those?). The person wrote "Clown Rape is never funny" (not laughing at rape. Laughing at how oddly specific that is).
^^^They took down all my favorite Joe Dallesandro videos otherwise I would post similar things.
"How's your sister doing? I'd like to rape the hell out of her." (again, not laughing at rape. Laughing at the his diction, inflection and intonation of his voice i.e. delivery of said line)
"Virgins? What's he doin with you two whores?"
EDIT: FOUND ONE!!!
Fucking legend:

"The amulet, Franz!!"
I find just that. The atmosphere of those movies are cool but...eh...I would rather read about the shit and see stills than actually watch them at this point. A little too long to get from point A -> B. Unless you're fucked up or something, then you can kind of tune out and tune back in at your leisure.

That said, I'm glad someone made them. A lot of my 'favorite directors' I find I don't "love" their movies as a whole...but I'm glad someone is out there making those kinds of films

@$sharky I don't remember those borders but I do remember the "move guide 19XX/20XX" books! My cousin used to send them to me. I don't think they even bothered to put Vulgar in there. Still not as uncomfortable as Irreversible since the characters were like Dennis Hopper in Blue Velvet, but it was close.

You get it :thumb:
It is impossible to try aping that line I posted without sounding like a spineless poseur and fraud...on top of you know, a complete dildo

Also "I'd treat her real sweet" is among the worst, OH H-THATS HA-TERRIBLE HAHA HA FUCKINHELLAHAHAHA lines of all time.

I know it's supposedly wrong to be amused by this stuff in 2018 but man, if you appreciate absurdity and delivery that's S-rank shit like ATHF and the world is not PG13

I definately know what you mean. This one actually kept it moving pretty well and had some great scenes. Lots of fast dramatic zoom-ins on characters faces, super silly "bathing nude in the blood of virgins", terrible fangs being revealed. It was more entertaining than the new electric wizard album for sure.

Peter Jackson's "Meet The Feebles" can best be described as the Muppets meet Acid. Highly recommended.

I watched that like 17 years ago and I just couldn't believe such a thing existed. I guess it's still pretty mind blowing.. but once you've seen The Overfiend it's all fair game

Are you talking about the Japanese anime Legend Of The Overfiend? If so, yes, it is completely mental and beyond over the top. Regardless, even if you weren't speaking about that flick, I still broke out in a cold sweat thinking about it. Lol.

That clip highlights a void in contemporary cinema :mope:
The music during the chase...its vibe...and then how it's punctuated with that release... :excellent: :excellent: :excellent:
