Haha, happy to help! Though I usually perfer to give people GAS.

I haven't tried them side by side, no. But I can't hear how it sounds like the octave synth you have though (at least not when I listen to your (awesome) demo). And it sounds very different than the SubOctave Synth. The filter is far more extreme and aggressive on the Junk Tone, and even with the filter/tone rolled back it's not as low end heavy as the SubOctave, nor is it as whooly. I can do a video where I compare them if you'd like.

From what I have gathered the Junktone and Slicer may be different bends on the same PLL chip (the ones that were used in phone systems...old phreaking stuff maybe...that stuff was neat when it still worked, TV Jammers, blue boxes, etc). I think the Sub-Octave is a different thing.
