Obviously all those on the list will be entered into a battle royal to thin the ranks.

A fuzz-off. Everyone picks their heaviest setup. We all stand in a room, amps cranked. We drone on the lowest notes we can with Fuzzes cranked. Whoever is alive and can still hear/hasn't lost their mind at the end gets on the list.

It's not about who has the biggest rig, it's about who has the highest threshold for loud.

So, basically, we'll just collab on the most insipid Sunn Cover Band ever, and whoever can stand to listen to that the longest gets the filter.

That reminds me of the Stephen O'Malley solo set mp3 CD I wanted to make for my car tonight that had 4 hours of his solo sets on it....

True, but those of us who are used to standing in front of insanely loud rigs will def have the advantage. I used to play drums in front of a dual Model T + 3 concert slaves into a 6x12, 4x15, and 3 4x12's for guitar rig, and 4 Colosseum bass's plus 2 concert slaves into 4 1x18's plus 2 4x15's bass rig. Usually at full blast. I can stand some SPL's.

I originally imagined total sensory deprivation except for touching the instrument and hearing the fuzz. And a super cold or super hot room.

But I thought that might be too much. And then I thought, "its weird that I'm thinking so hard about this." And I'm thinking that now too.

It's not going to be envelope controlled, it's just going to be a fixed filter. I'll put your name on the list, but just be aware that there is no envelope control.
