Selling my 5-string cuz I slapped on B to D on a 4-string and that feels sooo much better. Should've done this years ago, especially since my main band plays in B quite frequently!
Thinking about selling my Bergantino NV412 because my doom band broke up.

That thing nearly kills my spleen anytime I try to move it, and I prefer my Bag Ends anyhow.
All of this $$$/gear/sell/doubt because I have a new Bordwell bass that will be done in a few months. Sadly, I'm not even excited, because:
Stupid me put a deposit down on a 5-string before I bought a house, my financial existence was different in early 2014!

And yeah, I just can't bond with 5ers... even great ones.
I've been hovering the classifieds around Talkbutt to see if it's worth the $30 to offload the Berg and Nordy, but after several days it really seems like Reverb is the better bet.
People are just so..................
weird................over there now. And not that good kind of weird. It feels like a bunch of non-musicians arguing about taxes.
Does this qualify as a rant, or just some random post? Thanks for reading (or not). Also, sometimes I wonder if these dudes are group hugging or circle jerking:

Speaking of taxes. Was doing all that jazz. Being self employed I get to write off a ton of purchases. Went through everything......good Lord we spend some money on shipping, yeah.

Nads - i don't really like 5's either. but i freak out if the strings aren't even numbered. EEP.
huh. we have had CRAP luck playing in SF, got confirmed a week ago on a show in April with a neat band from Texas, One Eyed Dolls at a decent spot, DNA Loungs. and just got put on a show in two weeks at Bottom of the Hill, which is a GREAT place to play. on a Tuesday, but local bands that should be pushing hard and i love this venue.
WOOT.

Bottom of the Hill is so fucking cool. I drove 450 miles to see Hammers of Misfortune play there about 10 years ago, great road trip.
My metal band is gigging weekly, it's been pretty neato really. I blew my two Bag End cabs, but had them reconed for pretty cheap!

Why no love for the 5 string? Is it because you rock a 6 string and find them pointless. I have a Washburn 5 and it is so nice to play. Very comfortable action. Plays like butter. The only thing I don't like about it is the active pickups. I'm changing them soon for a set of Seymour Duncan passive soap bars. Then it will be perfect I hope. Have you played a dual course 8 string? I have gassed for one of those for years.

lol. i suck at bass. i play in patterns not notes usually. and the odd numbered blungers make me feel..... strange. very strange.
only 5 i have i had strung with the high C instead of the low B. super more butts fun. not talking poo about 5's, juet 4's and 6's make way more sense to me.
RECONE ALL THE NAD'S BAGS.

You far from suck at playing the bass dude. Ive watched some of your pedal demos which has lead me to check out Bloodparty on YouTube and I've always been impressed with your technique. I'm probably not the only one around here that digs your playing.
