Does it get spoopier after episode 1? I thought it was kind of cheesy and wrote it off.

UglyCasanova wrote:Netflix canceled The OA. Weirdchamps. Both seasons were super enjoyable, even if they both ended kind of half-assed.
Not surprised.
Netflix actively sabotages the weirder shows they produce that tend to cost more.
I'm still tilted about how they completely ruined Sense8 with that shitty not-even-good-enough-to-be-a-made-for-TV movie.

Wait, that movie already came out?

Like I said, active sabotage.
For some reason they like putting out the sci-fi stuff without any kind of advertising and typically immediately bury them under a ton of washed up, half-baked comedy specials no one asked for.

Oh I should remember to watch season 2. Season 1 was delightful, the vibe really clicked with me.

Omg who is watching Season 2 of MINDHUNTER? Just as intense as season 1. Just finished episode 5.

Yeah I'll be watching it soon. Still kind of miffed at how the first season "ended"

I didn't hate it? May have to watch the last episode of the first season to refresh before watching the new stuff

I remember liking it? I thought it was pretty cohesive. This isn't a spoiler but they start from where it left off and a lot of what happened is a big arc in the season (I'm on EP 6, finishing the next 3 tonight instead of making music / drawing / doing something productive per usual

).
IMO, there is only one arc that is slightly far fetched this season. But it makes up for it with other sinister arcs. Acting, writing, and visuals are top notch again. And it's still excelling in what I initially liked about it. People working together in grey space to form a new nomenclature for profiling (and creating the very concept of profiling).
Now they just need to do season 4 of HANNIBAL and make it the SILENCE OF THE LAMBS arc and I'll be forever fulfilled with psychological investigation dramas.

It was a good episode, I just hated that it wasn't an ending in any way. Like, it was barely even a cliff hanger. It felt like they were in the middle of a season not the end of one

I'd love to see a S4 of Hannibal - that was sweet show

It's one of those things where THE CAST wants to do it too! I call it a "Deadwood" situation. Everyone involved wants to do either another series or made for TV movie.
And Deadwood DID eventually happen... over a decade later but they did it!

I just finished season 3 of Hannibal

I watched the first two years ago but the third wasn't on Netflix at the time, so recently I've rewatched the whole series. Now I'm done with one serial killer drama, on to the next!
Though honestly I could do without more Hannibal. It's great and fun but I feel like it wrapped up ok.

Finished MINDHUNTER. That season was intense.
I was remiss to not mention the score. So good. And then for the non original soundtrack, you had some ROXY MUSIC some GARY NUMAN. Good stuff!
