Filtertrons!!! Thumbs Up!!!
I wanna get a '72 Tele Deluxe (I'd be cool with the Squier and preforming some extra mods) and throw in some Gibson P-94s (basically like a P-90 hot single coil in a humbucker sized enclosure)

For some reason, every time I see one of those red and black Reverends, the Twin peaks dream scene where the midget dances in the red room flashes in my eyes. Weirdest connection ever, but cool.
I think those guitars look like they were born to be drenched in reverb and fuzz.
I want one.

Here is my guit... bass... um... it is a P Bass that some one modded the crap out of, the body says it's a 69, the neck says Chandler which is fretless, has a J pickup, it had one of those ugly tortoise shell scratch guards when I got it so I took it to a guitar shop and had them put a black one on

The bass side of the P pickup keeps falling

of late, I think I'm going to have to stick some foam rubber or something under it

It was only about $650 when I got it.

Teisco -- well, I'm pretty sure it's a Teisco...or one of those brands..."Tele-Star". Paired with the amp for $50 at a yard sale. I like the weird Ric bass-shaped pickguard and the checking of the finish looks cool though it didn't show up in the pictures I took. You can tell this shit was high-tech because the neck plate denotes that it's a "steel-reinforced neck". Man, cutting edge.
It was a wreck inside and out so I cleaned it up (mineral spirits works wonders on mountains of rust) and redid the wiring -- it's just three volumes and a tone right now but I would love to put a Melx Fuzz or somethin' in there just to add to the gimmick. The extra switches which no longer worked are still there 'cause they look cool. Strung with flatwound 11s as something new to try out.
The action is pretty bad, and by "pretty bad" I mean it's like playing slide guitar--though the bridge is as low as it gets--and I'm afraid of trying to move the truss rod so it's staying this way. The neck is shimmed but still there's a big gap between it and the pocket. It actually works just fine until you reach the 12th fret or so where it sounds hilarious. Just pretend you're Sonic Youth. To add to the SY factor the pickups are super microphonic and feedback at a moment's notice, which I actually really like! It sounds cool through fuzz! The pickups themselves don't really have any outstanding characteristics and they're pretty low output. They don't sound like shit though
Oh, it has a zero fret which I thought was interesting. And the fret wire is super ultra tiny and rectangular so if you aren't right up next to the fret it's gonna sound like butt.
The lady who sold it said that her husband had it since he was 16...there are deep finger-made grooves throughout the fretboard so apparently this dude liked his Teisco. I'll take care of it, dead guy, whoever you are!

+1!
I missed out on a Tiesco last week; kind of an offset SG body, two pickups, solid bridge. Guy only wanted $35 but I was 2nd e-mail and the seller let the other guy pick it up... There's another on right now, but $60, further away, and it's more of a non-cool mini-Strat body. No reply on the 1st e-mail for that one.
Here's a cool '66 Kay / Pennhurst on the other side of the state:

That bass is killing me!
Seriously, there are only a few things that make me squeal like a little kid safe-for-work things anyway but that's one of 'em.
There are really not nearly enough green guitars out there.

I dig it. I almost bough up an old Teisco Del Ray shortscale bass for ~$100 that was on consignment. The frets were pulling out of the fingerboard right around the 12th fret. It was a funky bass for sure,...but in the end I passed. I could have fixed the fret issue at the shop,...but,....I could justify paying $100 when I was on the hunt for something different.
There are several cool old Japanese guitars at the local used/consign shop,...Some of them I'd love to own and fix up but the sellers (or more likely the
seller) are asking WAY too much for them. I'm sure they are wondering why they've been sitting up there for years. I'm sure it's the shop's fault for not pushing them and has nothing to do with the sellers wanting way more than they are worth.
