I'm super happy with my dirt section, but I feel like I need something weirder going on. I can coax a lot of weirdness out of the Cathedral but that requires knob tweaking and verb isn't always what I want. Maybe a wah, or a Randy's Revenge...

How'd you go from double mini to no mini?

If you want another excuse to hit up LaoWiz you can have him build you a Gristleizer. Or you could get a Goatkeeper, get your drones on without needing a Drone Commander.

I still have & love my one remaining Mini, it just doesn't sound the way I want it to with my current bass, which sounds better to me with the low-gain grind of the Rat King. I've always preferred the Fuck circuit on guitar anyways. Lo-fi drive with the bias dialed back

I'm still going to lust after a Drone Commander regardless  but a trem would be awesome, part of my interest in ring mod... I also need to look into the Gristleizer circuit more, most of the demos I've seen have been kind weird. Seems like a pedal that shines through stacking. I'm still planning on getting a Superego one of these days, as well. But I want something that will get weird with less "atmosphere" and expression capabilities.

the later should get you the former babe. board looks dope as usual. proof that you are more rational than all of us, you willingly hung up the mantle of double mini guy.

Works wonderfully as a stand alone as well because you can dial in plenty of dirt, or gristle. Jero built mine in a wah shell where it controls the speed which was downright brilliant. Could have that be expression controllable probably.

Jero built mine, LaoWiz has built a couple. There's also Endangered Audio Research, but those aren't cheap.

If only there were a way to make them, that I wouldn't have to charge $300 for. Considering the cost & work required...I just don't think that many people are jumping at buying them. The wah shells alone cost $40-55. If I were to make like, a batch of 5, I'd likely just hit up Taylor and try to work something out with his pcbs (gristleizer pcbs available here...musicpcb.com). There's also some slight tweaking needed to get the sweep of the rate pot more functional/smoother. It actually might be better in a normal box with exp options instead of the treadle.

I have really been considering building another one of these for myself. Such a fun noisy machine.
For those trying to get one, definitely hit up Laowiz. His aesthetic is perfect for that sound, and I think he already has a circuit layout of his own, which I know could not have been a quick task.

So I finally have the big board organized, now I just need to finish up the wiring. I'm just looking for one last fuzz/distortion to go in the third loop of the blender. I want something that's fairly high gain, very clear for chords, with a very tight voicing. What should I save up for? It'd be for doom, drone and black metal stuffs mostly.

True and I'll get there but I just need to slow down on buying things in general. So one more fuzz for the last channel and then just focus all of my energy into recording. Down the line I'd like a Hax and an Organizer.

Working with this right now. Been in a serious black metal mood and have discovered that volume pedals are key to making loopers work pre-dirt.

Doom Room consensus would seem to be an Ape Blaster, though I've never played one meself.

LaoWiz is just a genius!

What's funny is I've already changed the layout I think I finally have it where I want it, just need that last dirt pedal. Will look at the Ape Blaster and I'm also considering either a BAT Revelation Super Bass or maybe a Destroyer :idk:

Expression option instead of the wah shell seems like it would be more practical on all fronts. Especially with an Expressionator using the sawtooth ramp on this thing
