Swamp Thing looked cool. Sucks it got cancelled.
NETFLIX:
I am Mother was a suggestion MrsPudding had and I was pleasantly surprised. No clue what it was going in and was presented with a solid post apocalyptic SciFy movie with a cool ass robot. Dig it.
Finally got around to watching Black Mirror and holy fuck I can't get enough of it. Watched the first two episodes of the new season before I started bouncing around episodes since its non linear. So far early favorites are Shut Up and Dance & Black Museum. So glad to have a series that scratches that Twilight Zone itch.
Lucifer is fun. Fills the Satan void while I wait for the next season of Sabrina.
HULU:
Chernobyl. Still so wowed by the series. The acting is incredible, the music, the practical effects. Its like Band of Brothers but with nuclear tragedy. Its gonna be a long time before I can rewatch it, but I'm so glad I saw it.
Also yo pro tip, but if you have Hulu, get the HBO add on. Definitely has the best selection of shit you can get extra apart from Starz having Godzilla movies.

You're going to have to re-watch Black Museum once you've seen the rest of Black Mirror. There are so many references in that episode!

I agree - while it wasn't a masterpiece, it was entertaining and pretty original. Not a bad thing to have just pop up on Netflix on a Sunday.
Also, you could make it into a "spot the corn" drinking game.

first one I saw was The National Anthem, then a few months later that rumor about David Cameron appeared in the press. Savage.
I didn't watch the seasons and episodes in order, but that doesn't seem to matter, even with all the easter eggs flying around.
This latest season is the biggest disappointment though.

I really enjoyed Bandersnatch. Haven't watched the new season, but the episodes have definitely seemed a little more watered down with each season.

the really british ones are good and the american ones tend to be between mediocre and sucky

I like Black Mirror... I'm not too impressed with Season 5 though. The Miley episode is my favorite.

that one was the worst imo

it felt like a dumb kids movie caper with swear words and a dash of existentialism. i watched Big Fat Liar (movie with Frankie Muniz and Amanda Bynes... and Paul Giamatti) a lot as a kid and that episode seemed very similar

It just felt like the only one with a little levity and creativity. Vipers felt like the same old trope, just with VR. I don't even really think there was a point to Smithereens. Just seemed really poorly put together.
I wasn't really sold on the Miley episode until like halfway through.
I am a wee bit curious if they do something more in the vein of the Black Museum episode in the future. They keep flirting with these VR environments and stick on/implantable tech and social media stuff... At first it felt like pop culture commentary, but since they've decided to semi-pull things together into a shared universe, I wonder if there's a bigger picture or not.

Dead Like Me is on Hulu and Amazon Prime, short-lived Showtime series with sort of a Pushing Daisies vibe.

There are occasional bright spots with Black Mirror but 2/3 of them don't have anything to actually say, it's very DO YOU SEE.

Might have to reinstate my Netflix just for Evangelion. I can't believe we finally have an easy way to watch that shit, I have been fearing that my Platinum boxset will just die, it feels like a 5 year old pair of underwear that somehow is still together.
EDIT:
The English dub was never great, but I wasn't expecting different Voice Actors
EDIT2:
NO MORE FLY ME TO THE MOON CREDIT MUSIC!?!
