Wrapped season 2 of Barry in a day yesterday. There’s an audition that ends up being a comment on the whole comedy/drama dichotomy of the show. Don’t know if it’s better or worse than the first season but it’s damn good.

I just wrote a long post about the stuff I've been binging. I think I hit preview instead of submit and then closed the page

Not going to write it all out again, but I'll summarize it.

Recently I've watched:
Get Out - amazing movie
Rim of the World - not good Stranger Things ripoff with diverse, but inauthentic cast
Mid90s - great movie, very authentic and real
Hip Hop Evolution - great docu-series; I've been into hip hop lately which is kind of weird
Trainspotting 2 - not as iconic as the original, but still pretty great
Split - I enjoyed it and want to see Glass now

first episode of Swamp Thing was mostly solid. I think it'll be weird enough to do the original material justice (not that I'm an expert or anything, but I've been through a few of the comics and a more adult-oriented graphic novel).
has the flavor of ecological horror, with a tad of cult conspiracy attached, so I'm into it for now.
practical FX work is great.

's weird. i was SO damn excited for Us and it was just..... meh. super predictable, tried to be too funny, just.... so so? not bad. worth watching. just nowhere near as amazing as Get Out was.

the whole trilogy is awesooooommeeeee. Unbreakable has always been my favorite Shimaklshfhrjlahagjhan movie. Split was GOOD. Glass has some problems but was pretty freaking wonderful.

I can only hope that if they are diving into Swamp Thing, they will eventually work their way to Hellblazer and Sandman.

Yeah I found Us pretty flawed but still glad I watched it. I think it broke a lot of ground in the genre, even though it paid too much obvious homage to it.

NOOOOOO!!!!!!

I know they'll get around to it sooner or later. I'll be hyped for every little details leading up to the release/premiere. And the actual product will suck. Will just be fucking horrible.

I've already given up my dream of them doing a proper Dark Knight Returns flic. Don't take my sandman from me.

Or Cerebus. Thankfully the planet is going to melt and we're all gonna die before the get around to adapting the earthpig.

I was sad enough to see the way they Butchered (dad joke alert) the Dresden Files (dammit SyFy), so I have no hope for any of my favorite properties... That being said, I think they've made great strides in this whole realm in recent years.

Well, Bryan Fuller is certainly on board for trying. He and Gaiman are storyboarding it. But he's also shopping Seas 04 of Hannibal right now too. So if he gets an offer on that first, Sandman gets delayed agaaaaaain.
