I've always found that phase cancellation issues are really only something if you're finding your amp isn't loud enough. Which, so, like, never been an issue for me.

Re: Let's see your AMP!
Thanks mang,....
I'm definitely not lacking for volume. The only big thing on the horizon is getting my Warwick updated into the 21st century so a new cab is probably not gonna happen for a moment. That Kustom is just old and falling apart.
Hell with that SVT,...I could probably gig with the just the Avatar and be able to crank the fuck out of it. I do like having my cab closer to ear level though.

I feel ya on the falling apart bit. These Acoustic 1X15s I've had for like five years are really starting to show their age. Five years of constant abuse, that is. One has a huge hole in the bottom of it. So, now it's ported!
And, speakers being close to ear level is just blissful.

Re: Let's see your AMP!
My Avatar is kinda beat up. I've got some electrical tape covering some rips in the tolex but the cab itself is in good shape. It's birch I believe so it should stand the test of time.
The Kustom is made out of pressboard and is from the 70's or the 80's. The pressboard is rotting out at one of the corners,...one of the casters took a shit on me (hopefully I can replace them without having the wood fall apart on me). It just needs to be retired.
When I do get a new cab I intend to bring the Kustom home and use it as a bass cab with my Pignose G40V to have an at home Tube amp. GAH,...It will start getting busy at work over the summer which should translate to more hours and more money for me,...so it's all a matter of convincing the wife to let me blow money on getting my rig sorted out. I really want to check out a Power Attenuator at some point as well. That way I can crank the Fuck out of the SVT and still be able to control the volume.

oooo,....IDK

The ones I were looking at were the THD Hotplates,...I didn't realize that powerhandling needed to be considered. I thought that impedance would be the only factor to be aware of.

Re: Let's see your AMP!
You could build one using a Weber speaker motor that could be rated that high, you could series speaker motors to get higher ratings

Re: Let's see your AMP!
Hmmm,...did so more research on attenuators. Seems more hassle than it's worth.
I'm happy with the SVT-CL's clean sound. The preamp drive is fine too. Just enough grit to give me a nice throaty growl. I can make it work.

My live signal is going into the Gibsonette, and I run my loops into the Laney stack.
I play.

Re: Let's see your AMP!
It's a nice thing to have. One of my favourite friends made it for me when she was in hospital, so I get to appreciate it a little more. Trying to find a flight case for it currently. Tricky stuff.
I play.

Suitcase=problem solved, just go to a thrift store and find one that's big enough.
Also, loving the look of that Gibsonette, I think you have the classiest rig on ILF Adoom.

Re: Let's see your AMP!
The board measured 90w x 40d x 20h so it's a bit tricky to find a suitcase.
Thanks man, but I can assure you, I absolutely do not. There are some fine and enviable things out there, many of them, happily belonging to awesome people. The Gibsonette is actually a dream, beautiful amp, and it was a steal, so I'm happy as happy gets. I've been planning this one out for the better part of a year, so now I'm starting my experimentation phase. First up: Fuzz.
I've thrown up a recording of the setup in the Show Your Music thread, in the music forum.
I'd thouroughly researched what I wanted, so I adore everything, but my favourite thing is still my Fuck OD. If I had to pare it down to two things, I could pull off a show with that and the El Capistan. And my violin, and an amp, obviously. But pedal wise.
