i love playing the melodies to old standards on the fretless Jazz Bass, and i keep going back to "I've Grown Accustomed To Her Face." the thing i love about that song is how the melody captures both the beauty of falling in love and the equal-but-opposite-reaction of "oh, shit, i'm in for it now..." as it gently descends like a falling leaf. but yeah, all of a sudden everything's different, and you have to consider all kinds of things you didn't before. and you're vulnerable, vulnerable as all hell. there you are, out on the limb. nice view, though, huh?

I've found the start of it to be all beautiful and fun... then like a year in you start to notice that this damn branch you've been sitting on enjoying the view is a bit more precarious of a perch than you originally thought... then like five years later you kind of have to just laugh... It's never what you expect.

i'm actually thinking about downsizing my pedalboard and investing some more to my guitar and amp (plan is to get an extension cab for my 1x12" combo, i won't have enough money to get something completely different)
also... i'd love to get into a band similar to Mouth Of The Architect... i just can't stop listening to them...

I wanted to go out tonight and drink a lot. Instead I stayed home, cleaned my apartment, and ate Kashi cereal and drank health shakes.
Such an unsatisfying night.

One of my best friends in college randomly walked into a high 400-level math class final exam and wrote a huge essay on the decline of the comic-book industry. I'm sure the grading TAs were confused as hell.

finally I'm not the only one
Of course, it's even more prominent now that every pop song in existence seems to use the "UNCE UNCE UNCE" beat
