so, i was doing a search for something or another when i came across the RIP thread for metalmariachi, who i always enjoyed and which i totally missed, and then this happened:

I've always loved the atmosphere The Body creates. And then they get all screamo and lose me there. I don't know what it is about that kind of thing that grates on me cause I love Neurosis and enjoy it usually when Isis does it.
Apparently, Boards Of Canada did a two hour mixtape for the Warp 30th anniversary broadcast last year. Listening to that.

Coming from the point of view of someone who use to cringe at all extreme vocalizations, I've edjumacated myself to the point where I'm definitely good with the vox in The Body - it fits the music and my overall response thereto. Unlike, say, the "extremities" perpetrated on yer average Lamb of God album.
